Her parents were never the type to give her or her older brother everything they wanted, even though they had the money; with Darien owning several successful horse farms within Kentucky and Arianna having her own law firm. She had always been an intelligent young woman, but most people over looked it due to her looks. Many pegged her as a cheerleader or some type of airhead-bitch; though she never let it get to her head she even graduated valedictorian of her high school class. Also having a well-grounded family helped her develop into the person she is today. Lexa had always been fascinated by the CIA and FBI, she wanted to be apart of something important and help her country. She started college studying Mechatronics (a type of engineering) Lexa was only there a year before she was recruited into the CIA to work in their Intelligence Department. After going through all of her training at the Farm she was assigned to an intelligence/surveillance officer, Hunter Dalton, to work under and learn the ropes from. She was good at her job, with her eidetic memory and good mimicry skills she was able to adapt to any culture or environment their missions took them too. It was an exciting new change; she was learning new tricks and skills from her mentor Hunter. But everything went horribly wrong during a routine mission; Lexa and Hunter were assigned to another team of agents over in the Middle East . After someone’s cover was blow, due to bad Intel from the CIA, all hell broke loose, a gun fight ensued. The team was able to fall back to their safe house, but not without injury. Hunter had been fatally wounded and died while they were waiting for a med-Evac, his death devastated Lexa. Lexa was ordered to take some time off once she returned to the States. She went through her up and downs, replaying that day over and over again in her head wondering if she had done anything different, would Hunter still be alive. Apart of her never wanted to go back to the Agency again (blaming them and herself for Hunter’s death); it was just too hard to return to work without having her mentor there. Lexa put in her resignation to the Agency, deciding to go back to school and finish her Engineering degree. She thought going back to school would make her forget what had happened, but watching a friend and mentor die in your arms never goes away. Her family noticed a huge change in her attitude and it showed in her grades, they knew her heart wasn’t really into going back to school it was just an escape goat to runaway from dealing with her issues. It was her mom who thought she needed to leave school and go back to doing work she loved. Her mom had done some work many years ago for a foundation in England ; where she had helped a man named Edward on many legal issues which resulted in her finding out what the Grace Foundation was all about. Arianna thought Lexa could be happy there after her fallout with the CIA. After many a phone calls and the promise of a huge favor, she got the Grace Foundation to look into recruiting her daughter for their cause. Lexa was approached by the Grace Foundation and was asked to come work for them; she declined at first not really wanting to get back into the “spy world” so quickly. But after some thought (and a much needed mom conversation) she accepted, packed up her things and moved to London where she began her recruit training. She completed her training and was assigned to the Intelligence and Weaponry Sector due to her expertise. Lexa has now been with the Grace Foundation for a little over a year, and is adapting to the much needed change quite nicely. [Back]
