SLUMP OF THE MONTH
ISE LYFE-SPREAD THE WORD
Okay I'm workin' little by little trying to get this poppin' anyway this is my new little addition, which was inspired by the artist below. I just picked this album up the other day and I've really been feelin' this one. The brotha Ise (pronounced like Ice) Lyfe is from The Town (Oakland that is) and his album is flippin' rap with spoken word (poetry). Its truly refreshing to hear a young brotha talking sense instead of non-sense.Anyway this is my slump for the month of September 2004. I'm Just recognizing Hot Music out the Bay so check it out.....Holla!!

Ise's debut album is titled SPREAD THE WORD and the intention is to do just that. This album is as fluid as water while at the same time solid as.well..ice. Every rhyme, poem, skit, and interlude seems carefully constructed to strike the heart of the listener. Some how all in one this album is fresh, sad, serious, joyful, liberating, fun, and a powerful CALL FOR ACTION.
Handle your business and SPREAD THE WORD. (buy the CD)

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Be on the look out for my review(Stress Test) of this album coming soon!!!
SLUMP OF THE MONTH #2
TURF TALK-STREET NOVELIST
Turf Talk is the latest addition to the Sic Wid It(E-40) family giving folks the slump beats and fire lyrics that the Label, which brought us E-40, The Click, Celly Cell, and The Mossie, has always been known for.
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED #2
If you guys browsed through my half done pages(lol) you probably noticed my first incarnation of this section well we're baaaack...FEDERATION-FEDERATION THE ALBUM
Damn hasn't this album been comin' out like for the past two years. I would expect better from a major like Virgin, but in this day and age I guess that is asking a lot.
At the kmel summer jam they were quoted as sayin it would be out October 5th or sometime in October so lets cross our fingers folks.
THE TEAM-THE NEGRO LEAGUE
Oaktown is in the house once again. This will be a Moe Doe release(shot out to Keak Da Sneak) from Clyde Carson and fam. If folks ain't up on The Team check out they're 2002 album Beyond The Glory, they got guest appearances from Nas & Nate Dogg so ya'll should scoop that up. Damn we got so much Spit in the YaY!!
