I believe all these works are recorded. The Cello concerto is in his initial Serial style. The other pieces I believe are in his later Minimalist style. All are worth hearing, particuarly the Fratres. His First Symphony (written in the 60's)also goes highly recommended

Yet another composer who bowed to pressure from the Authorities. All his Symphonies however are recorded and definately worth hearing. His early works (Symphony No.1, Chamber Symphony) are in a style typical of the 1920's avant-garde. His later works return to a more romantic tradition. His first Symphony is a must hear. Unfortunatelym, I don't think either of these pieces are recorded

I shouldn't need to say anything here. Most of these pieces are recorded. My favorite is the Cello Sonata. Other pieces that go highly recommended are, the First Piano Concerto and the Third Symphony (if you like his more modernistic uterances), or the Suites from Lt. Kije and Romeo & Juliett if you prefer his more Romantic works
