  270 stitches wide, 300 stitches high. 30 colors, DMC floss.

  Have a look at the stitched work in progress of two persons who are doing this picture:

  • Vin to JD (file size 103kb)
  • Josiah to Chris (file size 138kb)
  This part was done in DMC floss on 18 count cloth. The actual size of this bit is 17" x 7,5" and it took about 3 months (at an average of two hours per day) to finish this part.
  • The guys on their horses (file size 145 kb)
  This part was done in Anchor floss on 18 count cloth. The actual size up to this point is 13" x 5" and it took 2 months (at an average of two hours per day) so far.

  Notes: The cloth is wrinkled because it's not stretched for framing yet. Also, the picture should be viewed from about 3 feet distance (since that is the appropriate viewing distance for cross stitching) to allow you to get a proper impression.
  The 'trail' of dark brown that JD's horse drags behind it is due to a color error (should be the same golden tinge that surround the other horses). And no, Josiah's horse isn't drunk. :-)
