My name is Lee Gibling. I started out as a drummer at the age of 15 influenced by rock and punk. I quickly progressed to a Grade 8 standard and using my drum kit knowledge began the basics of beatboxing, although I didn't know it. I soon heard about 'Rahzel' early in 2003 and was blown away with what the human voice and mouth could do. From here beatboxing became an obsession and an annoying habit for everyone around me.

I soon got to know some people at the University of East Anglia's radio studio and became part of a HipHop show on 'Livewire' radio. This then built the grounds for a club night in Norwich featuring live DJ's, MC's, beatboxers, and some well-known names.

Since then I have featured at other venues and events including Lava-Ignite, Sonic and Radio Broadland in Norwich. Soul Tree, Emmanuel College May Ball, and 2006 UK Beatbox Champs (Eastern heat) in Cambridge.

With the birth of my new son, Dillon, I have been unable to do these 'late nights'! More recently have been focusing on the beatboxing scene in Norwich and taking various workshops for young people at youth centres and in schools.

If you are interested or want some more information on beatboxing workshops, then please contact me.
