Your WebQuest Tasks
Day One: You and your group are to search out  art from the continent you were assigned. You may use the books, encyclopedias, newspapers, and magazines from the media center.  You may also use the internet.  Here are a few sites to use:

Library of Congress
Metropolitan Museum of Art
National Geographic
World Almanac for Kids
National Gallery of Art

Day Two:
As a group, pick an artist or a period of folk art from your continent to learn more about. 

Collect a list of interesting facts about that artist or folk period. 

Pick which facts to include in your article.  Arrange them in the best possible way.

Day Three:
 
Write an attention-keeping article to post on the class's "World" project.

Day Four:
Take another look at your article.  Use the
revision checklist.

Take one more look at your article.  Use the
editing checklist.

Post your article on the
blog for you classmates to read.
Day Five:
Now explore some of the pieces of art on your own.  Chose one that made you pause. 

Prewrite about it.  For ideas, see
Prewriting in Writing Reminders.


Day Six:
Write your opinion and reaction to that piece of art.  Get help
here.


Day Seven:
Revise it for your classmates to read.  Make sure it "sounds" like you.

Edit it for your teacher to read.

Add a copy of the picture and your appraisal to the
blog.


Day Eight:
Go on to
Evaluation

Day Nine:
Consider you classmated comments, make any revisions needed, and place your final copies on the class's "World" display.
