My Experience with the MGB

mini gastric bypass

Doesn't this look like a fun vacation?  I was getting ready for my first cruise.  Wow what a mistake that was.  From the time I hit Florida, my feet and ankles were swollen so much that I could hardly walk.  Once I hit the Bahamas, I most swam in the freezing pool and stayed in the room while the other skinny people went to the beach and sight seeing.

MY STORY

I had my Mini Gastric Bypass on December 1, 2000.  I have to date lost 170 pounds.  I would highly recommend the surgery or any type of morbid obesity surgery for anyone who can't seem to lose weight any other way.  There are a lot people in this world who THINK it is the person's fault for being overweight, but I know better.  Some of us just needed extra help to lose the extra pounds.

In September 2002 I had a breast reduction too and I am just so happy to have my life back.  I could not hardly walk.  I existed but it is not what you call living.  I went to an amusement park in Ausust 2001 and rode roller coasters all day long.  I went to Magic Mountain in California.  There are quite a few of them there and I rode all day long until they closed the park.  I had not been able to fit into a roller coaster seat for many years.  I have my life back now and think that everybody deserves to have their life back.

I have not had to take high blood pressure medicine since surgery and cut out many other drugs as well.  I do have to take a lot of vitamins the rest of my life but oh well, at least I have a life now.

This is what I looked like when I started my venture.  You can see I just continually gained weight.  I thought this was bad.
