Chapter 10 Later that night, Lucky was kneeling on the couch looking out the window. Jason and Carly were sitting on the floor going between their movie and watching Lucky. Robin sat in one of the chairs doing her homework. While, Anna sat and watched Lucky. �Lucky, sit down. They will be here. When they get here,� Anna told the young boy. No sooner did Anna get the words out of her mouth. Lucky bolted out front down and down the pathway towards the drive. Robert just had pulled the car into the drive and hardly got it into park. When Lucky pulled open the back door and leaping into his parents arms. �Mom. Dad,� Lucky cried getting smothered by his parents. �Hey, Cowboy, you got big,� Luke said smiling as he messed up his son�s hair. �Yeah, you need a hair cut,� Laura said crying as she hugged her son. Zander and Roy got out of the car and headed inside. Robert turned around a bit and said, �Luke, It might be better if we take this inside. Damion might be out there watching.� Luke nodded his head and pulled Lucky as close to him as he could get the kid. �Let�s go in,� He said and Laura slide out first then Luke climbed out. He carried Lucky into the house ready to drop to the ground to protect Lucky at any moment. Luke walked into the house and put Lucky down. The moment he was free from his father�s grasp. Laura started in looking him over to make sure that nothing was wrong with him. Lucky endured it until Laura started to life his shirt. �Mom,� Lucky said looking around at the room full of people. �Sorry, got carried away,� Laura said hugging Lucky again. �I missed you both too,� Lucky said smiling brightly. It was his father that caught sight of Jason and Carly. �Who are your friends?� Luke asked pointing to the teens. Lucky walked to where Carly and Jason were standing taking their hands and guiding them back to his parents. �Mom. Dad! This is my brother and sister. Carly Benson and Jason Morgan.� Luke and Laura looked at each other smiling. They noticed that Lucky claimed the teens as part of his family. It was Luke that stood up and said, �Well, then welcome to the family.� �You don�t have to claim us,� Carly said gripping Jason�s hand. Luke smiled at the girl and thought she had guts. �Robert told me the story and if it wasn�t for her my kid would be dead. I owe her a lot and that means looking after you then I�ll do it,� Luke replied and with that he walked to the couch and sat down. Jason didn�t know to think or say. He normally didn�t like people taking of him but he could just say he wasn�t grateful. Lucky would be hurt and he didn�t hurt the kid now. Specially, just after getting his parents back. Everyone sat and talked for awhile catching on deals that were missed on the phone. Lucky sat between his parents smiling brightly but slowly he started to drift off to sleep. Anna smiled at Robert and said, �I think it is time for bed. There are beds set up in your office for Roy, his son and Jason. Carly can crash on the extra bed in Robin�s room and I�m assuming Lucky will sleep with his parents in the guest room.� �I�m staying with Jason,� Carly said in a matter of a fact tone of voice. Anna wasn�t happy about two teens sleeping together in her house. The problem was she wasn�t in the mood to argue. �They can�t do anything,� Roy said smiling at Anna. �Ok,� Anna said and she back down on where Carly was going to sleep. Everyone went to bed, but before Luke could walk into the guestroom with Lucky. He slid of his arms and went into Robin�s room. He grabbed his teddy bear then joined his parents. Neither one comment as Lucky smiled and said, �I can�t sleep without Papa Bear!� �That�s cool,� Luke said and everyone crawled into bed. The bed was a bit small for the three of them but neither Luke nor Laura complained. They enjoyed the closeness with their son. It brought home the fact that he was safe and finally with them again. Lucky used his father�s shoulder as a pillow propping the bear against his father as he drifted off to sleep. Luke looked down at the bear and then over at his wife. �Either that bear eats lumpy food or it has something stuffed inside it!� �What do you mean?� Laura asked. Luke gently touched the lumpy area and said, �There is something hidden in there.� �Well, check it out in the morning but good about it. I think Papa Bear and you are a lot a like,� Laura said with smile on her face. �Yeah, I wonder how many conversations I missed with the kid with the bear in my place?� Luke wondered. �I bet a lot,� Laura said and they settled down to sleep.
