Chapter 27 Victor pulled the car along side his car but there was no sign of Carly. �Where is she?� He asked. �Let�s check the house,� Taggert said pulling his revolver. Victor nodded his head and walked on head. He didn�t have a gun but if Dorman hurt his daughter, he wouldn�t need one. He would rip the guy a part with his bare hands. Taggert tried the front door and realized it wasn�t locked. He knew if Dorman wasn�t the killer he was in for a lawsuit but something inside him said keep on going. The three walked into the house and found it dead quite. �Which way?� Jason asked and he noticed Carly�s purse on the ground near the door. �Look,� he said. �She is here,� Victor said looking for his daughter. Taggert found a door that leads the basement. �Let�s go down here.� Victor and Jason nodded there heads and they went on down. Victor and Taggert were side by side by the time they got near the bottom of the stairs. The sight before them turned there their stomachs to ice. Carly tied to a pool table with tape over here mouth. Dorman stood with his back to the stairs with a knife in his hand. �Time to pay,� Dorman said and he stabbed Carly right in the stomach. Victor lost it. �Carly,� He yelled as he leaped forward hit Dorman in the back and they both fell to the ground and started to fight for control of the knife. �Victor!� Taggert yelled pointing his gun and trying to get a good shot at Dorman but Victor was always in the way. Jason ran his wife and noticed that Carly had been stabbed in the lower part of her stomach. Jason took off his coat and used it to stop the bleeding. He then pulled at the ropes that bound Carly�s wrists and at the tape that covered her mouth. �Jason,� She cried out trying to fight the pain. �It will be ok,� He said kissing her. After they part, Carly looked over and saw her father get the upper hand over Dorman. He was on top of the guy and he knife in his hand. �Father!� Carly said weakly. Victor didn�t hear her plead. He glared at Dorman and said in Greek, �Tumoria!� stabbing the knife deep into Dorman�s chest over and over again! *************************** The family was shoved into the manager�s office and everyone was tired but no one wanted to leave. The police still hadn�t talked to Lucky or Lu yet and until that happened no one was willing to leave. Lucky was leaning against the desk with Emily at his side. She wanted to comfort him but she had no idea what to say to do. So, she just stood there with her arm wrapped around him. Luke looked at Laura who was sitting in the manager�s chair with Lu sleeping in her arms. �You ok?� he asked giving her a worried look. �No, but I�ll hold up until the kids are taken care off,� Laura said giving Luke a slight smile. �I�ll go see if we can leave,� Luke said and he headed for the door. Mikkos noticed that he was going and he quickly joined him. Both men walked into the hall to find Scott Baldwin talking to Garcia about what was going on. Luke groaned but walked forward using his very little. He didn�t know why but there was no way he wanted Scott to know that he wasn�t back to his old self just yet. �Can we leave?� Luke asked Garcia not even bothering to give Scott a moment of his time. �I still need to talk to the kids,� Garcia said with is voice full of remorse towards the family. Luke looked over his shoulder and said, �Not now. Lu is still very upset and I don�t think Lucky is ready for it either.� �Trying to make sure they story straight,� Scott asked coldly. Mikkos glared at the man and said, �Don�t you care that my grandchildren walked into a room to see their Aunt laying there after being murdered in that fashion?� Scott scuffed at this but Garcia put a restraining hand on Scott�s arm and said, �Take them home. I�m sure the Commissioner will stop by tomorrow to talk to them then. He can tell you then when we need you to identify the remains.� �Sure,� Luke said having trouble excepting Amy being talked about as remains. Mikkos and Luke left to the get the others and Scott turned on Garcia. �Why in hell did you do that?� Garcia glared at Scott and said, �A young woman was murdered and those kids walked in on that mess. You want to see what it looked like. Go upstairs and imagine you are them.� Garcia walked away then to get back to his work. He didn�t care what Scott thought. The guy was just using his job as a stepping-stone two the mayor�s office. ****************** �We can leave,� Luke said as he walked back into the room. �What about the food? I promised Mr. Lewis that we bring it,� Lucky said sadly. �We will take care of it,� Emily said smiling at Lucky. �You sure?� Lucky asked her. �Yes, you need to go home and be with mother and sister,� Emily said. Lucky nodded his head and handed her car keys. �I�m ready,� Lucky said and he got up. Mikkos smiled at his grandson and said, �Stay near your father. I�m sure the press is out there by now.� �Yeah, out for blood as usual,� Lucky, said coldly and he walked towards the door to leave. Luke saw the emptiness in Lucky�s eyes and wondered how much his son could take before he started to turn cold on him? ************************ The ambulance just raced off with Carly and Jason inside. Victor was going to take his car and go after them but plans changed when Scott showed up. �Commissioner, what is going on?� Scott said walking over to Taggert and Victor. Scott saw the blood all over Victor and asked coldly, �Whose blood is that?� Victor smiled at Scott and said, �It�s Dorman�s. He isn�t going to hurt another woman again.� Scott turned to Taggert and asked, �What does mean by that?� Taggert sighed and said, �It looks like that Dr. Dorman is the killer. Carly over heard his name and came to face him. He over powered her and tied her to his pool table. He was stabbing her when we came down the stairs. Victor saw this and jumped to his daughter�s aid.� Scott looked over at Victor and said, �You killed him? You took justice in your own hands and killed him.� �I was defending her,� Victor snapped. �Well, you can tell a judge that because I�m charging you with man 1,� Scott said coldly and he turned to Taggert. �Arrest him!� �Baldwin, you can�t mean that?� Taggert said shocked that he was actually asking him to arrest Victor Cassadine. Ok, the guy was a killer he knew this but this wasn�t a murder. He was defending his daughter life by taking a mad man. �It looks like the Cassadine has bought you along with Garcia. I suggest you watching your step commissioner and do your job,� Scott said coldly. Taggert looked at Victor and said, �I have no choice.� �I understand,� Victor said and he held out his wrist for Taggert to put a cuff on. Victor did look at Scott though and said, �This isn�t going to stick.� �Oh, yes it will. It is about time this city learns that Cassadines don�t run it,� Scott said coldly and smiled as Victor was handcuffed. Victor just glared at the guy. He didn�t believe these chargers would stick. He would free in a day or so very free to what he wanted. *************************** �Why do this?� Jason asked as his wife as the ambulance rushed on to the hospital. �I wanted to get back he took from me. I wanted to show the world that I�m not this helpless little girl,� Carly groaned in pain. �Carly, you never been helpless to me,� Jason said as he leaned over and kissed her. �I felt that way,� Carly said sadly. �Now how do you feel?� Jason asked. �Satisfied! The creep is dead and he isn�t going to hurt anyone again. The women in this town can finally walk outside without fear,� Carly said looking out the window watching as the darkness settled in around her. Jason watched her and shook his head. He tried so hard to tell her that things would be ok but it took watching her attacker die for her to realize that he couldn�t hurt her any more. ********************************* Mikkos and Ruby were ridding in one of the limos with Bobbie and Stefan. Mikkos decided to check up on Victor and called his cell phone. Victor was in the back seat of a police car with Scott sitting beside him. �Do you mind?� Victor said smiling at Scott. Scott slowly pulled Victor�s cell phone out of his coat pocket and answered it. �Hello?� �What are you doing answer this phone?� Mikkos asked coldly. Scott smiled and said, �I�m your majesty but your brother can�t do your bidding right now because he is on his way to jail. It will be his first stop to prison. I�m booking him on Man 1!� Mikkos growled and muttered something in Russian and said, �We will see about that! Let me talk to my brother!� Scott decided it wouldn�t hurt for Mikkos and Victor to talk. So, he held up the phone to Victor�s ear and Victor said, �Mikkos!� �Victor, what is going on?� Mikkos demanded. �You heard Baldwin right. He just arrested me but forget about me for the moment. The killer stabbed Carly. She is on her way to the hospital at this moment take care of her for me,� Victor pleaded. �Ok, but don�t say anything until Alexis gets there,� Mikkos told his brother. �You know me. I�m as cold as ice,� Victor said and he looked at Scott and said. You can take this as my one phone call. Scott hung up the phone and put Victor�s cell phone back into Victor�s pocket. Everyone in the limo was looking at Mikkos. Stefan was the only that spoke up. �What is going on?� Mikkos a deep breathe and said, �Victor got the killer but not before he got to Carly. I don�t know the details but she is on the way GH after being stabbed. Victor is under arrest for Man 1!� Bobbie gripped Stefan�s hand and said, �Take my to my daughter.� Stefan nodded his head and hit the glass of the limo. The driver lowered the glass down and Stefan ordered him to the hospital. Bobbie couldn�t help but start crying. The killer already took a good friend of hers but now he might take her daughter as well. Bobbie didn�t know if she could deal with it. Ruby looked at Mikkos and asked, �How is Victor?� �He will be ok,� Mikkos said and he called Alexis cell phone to get her head to the jail to look after Victor. Chapter 28 |
