| Chapter Nine Stavros walked into the living room and greeted his mother. Good evening, mother. I hope you liked this afternoons entertainment. It was everything I hoped for and more. How are our little guest doing? she asked. Settled in. Do you know where Spencer is? he asked. At his little Club. No doubt talking to his mob friends trying to figure out what we are up to. Helena said with an evil smile. He has no idea. Not even the Great Luke Spencer could have seen this coming. Stavros said leaning back in his chair. Stavros sweet heart I am going to miss playing with him. Luke is a good opponent to bad the game must end sometime. she said with a fake sad undertone. Dont worry mother. Youll find some else. You always do. he said. Upstairs the real Laura Spencer was pacing back and forth. She just finished watching the nights news on the trial and was angry. What are they up to? she wandered. Lucky not my son? I dont care who gave birth to him. I will be his mother until the end of time and nothing is going to change that. She stopped in front of a sleeping form, a boy around Luckys age. He even looked a little like him. And why are you here? she asked to herself. The boy suddenly opened his eyes looking around quickly. Where am I and who are you? he asked. My name is Laura Spencer. We are in the town of Port Charles and being held prisoner by a family named Cassadine. Can I ask whats your name? she asked sitting down in the chair beside his bed. My name is Lance. I was in Texas heading to a new foster home when these men grabbed me. What do the Cassadines want with me? he asked a little afraid of the answer. I dont know, but Im not going let any one hurt you. I promise. My husband will get us out of here and well straighten this all out. she said her mind still on the trial. Lance looked at her with all knowing eyes. He finally decided that she wasnt playing any games with him. He knew he had at least one friend in this weird place. Chapter 10 Back to What's the truth |
