| Chapter Ten Lucky was looking out his window when Lizzie walked in. �Lucky are you all right?� she asked moving beside him. �I don�t know Liz. What is the truth?� he asked. �About who you are? I�m going to do the same for you,� she said gently putting her arm around him. �Lizzie, what would I do without you?� He asked. �I don�t know,� she said. �You certainly couldn�t tie your shoes.� Lizzie bent down and tied his shoe. Lucky started to laugh and then he broke down in tears. He trying to believe his father but the words from Lasha�s letters kept coming back. Lizzie held him as he cried. Hating Laura Spencer for destroying him and everything he believed in. Downstairs Nikolas was watching Lu play on the floor. Alexis walked up to him and asked. �Are you all right?� �Alexis, if you would have told me. I would have protected you from grandmother and I�m sorry about my attitude toward you. I have been such fool.� Nikolas said. �You�re not a fool. Stefan and Laura are.� Alexis said. �You believe that it was her then don�t you?� Nikolas asked. �I don�t know but with Helena in the act nothing surprises me any more.� Alexis said. �I�m going up and talk to Lucky. How about coming up with me? He might need a friend right now,� she said turning to the stairs. �He wouldn�t want me around. He didn�t even look at me when I was up there the last time.� Nikolas said. �He is confused as you are about all of this. His life like yours has been blown apart. Maybe you two can find a middle ground to rebuild your lives.� Alexis told him grabbing the boy by the arm. �It was time this war between them ended,� she thought. Lucky and Lizzie were sitting on his bed talking when the two entered. �We decided to check up on you. Lucky are you all right?� Alexis asked him sitting at his desk chair. �I don�t know. I don�t even what to call you?� he asked. �Alexis.� she said. �Alexis. What is going on and why?� Lucky asked. �I don�t Lucky. I wish I did because then we would know what to expect.
