| Chapter Forty Seven Stavros arrived back at the yacht and yelled, Mother, where are you? Stavros, where is Lucas? You were supposed to bring him back with you, Helena said walking into the living area of the yacht. We have a major problem. What does father's will say exactly? Stavros asked. Stavros, you are not making any sense. Where is Lucas? she asked. Luke arrived and told me without any hint of doubt that from now on, he is charge of this family and we are never going near his son, Stavros yelled. Where is the god damn will? Helena looked at him in shock, opened the desk draw and handed the will over to him. Stavros read it over very carefully. When he was done, he put it down very slowly and said, We have a major problem. Father's will is worded in such a manner that Luke has the power to take over. He what? Helena said in shock. No. I'm not letting that man take over this family. He has already killed your father. I am not letting him destroy the Cassadine Legacy like this. We'd better think of something fast, because this will gives Luke the power. He is Lucky's legal guardian and that places him in charge. Alexis is a woman and no woman has ever led the Cassadine Family, at least not up front. Luke told me flat out that Alexis is going to run the money, and my little brother is in charge of Lucas' education, but Luke isn't going to let us near him at all, Stavros said and threw the will across the room. Well, there is only one thing we can do and that is make that will unnecessary, Helena said. Mother, what are you talking about? The only way to do that is bring father back from the dead and not even the Cassadines can do that, Stavros said. You have no imagination. We are Cassadines and we can do anything we want, Helena said and got up to make a few phone calls. Stavros looked at his mother and wondered what in hell she was up to now. His father died with the rest of his brothers and she can't change that fact by making a few phone calls. `````````````` Luke arrived at Alexis's house and walked right in without knocking. He looked around the front room and found Johnny sitting in a chair beside the door holding a gun on him. You are lucky the men out front told me it was you or you would be dead right now, Johnny said. I'm glad you're on the ball. Things are going to get bad, real fast. Keep your eyes and ears open. My kid's life is your main goal in life and don't you forget it, Luke said. Alexis arrived right then and demanded, What the hell is going on here? Luke, you have no right walking in my house without knocking. I have every right and from now on you will do as I say, Alexis. Your dear daddy's will was very specific. You are a woman and have no rights in the Cassadine family. You keep doing what you are doing but from now on the only person who decides what Lucky does is Lucky. I'm going to make sure that happens. Stavros and Helena arrived a week early and they want our son, Luke said, his voice going up a few octaves. Luke, calm down and tell me what you are talking about? she asked. All right. I read that little will of Mikkos' and found something we can use. You have no rights in the Cassadine family because you are a woman but I am Lucky's father and that gives me the edge. Stavros might be the first born but he failed to produce and heir and as long as he doesn't have one, Lucky is the heir. Those two snakes want him in order to control the money. I'm not letting that happen. Lucky is going to have the freedom to do what he wants and I'm going to guarantee it, Luke said. Thanks, Dad Lucky said, as he walked down the stairs. but how about giving them the money and maybe they would just leave me alone? It isn't just the money, Lucky. Helena wants to make you into the Cassadine she thinks could run this family in the next generation, Alexis said. I'm not a Cassadine. Right, I'm your son and you just happen to have Mikkos Cassadine as a father, but that is it. I'm a Spencer, Lucky said. Not to them, Cowboy. Helena most probably sees the Spencer side of you as a flaw and nothing more. I promise you, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe, Luke said. Chapter 48 Back to What's the Truth? |
