| Chapter Forty Eight A week had past with no movement from Helena and Stavros. Luke had kept his eyes open but they didn't even leave the yacht for food. They had the servants coming and going a lot but nothing more. Sonny had put a tail on everyone that left the yacht. Lucky did move back to his parents house and found out he missed the closeness of his old life. Nik was sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper and Lucky joined him. You sure have changed, Lucky said sitting down. You aren't the same either, Nik said. I guess not. How is life at the club? Lucky asked. Better then I thought it would be. I was listening in on your tutoring sessions today. You are catching up fast. You might even pass me up, Nikolas said. It is easy when you are the only person in the class. Hey, you have a girl yet? Lucky asked. No, but I'm not just sitting around doing nothing. I have noticed a lot of single young ladies around the club lately and they show up every night, Nikolas said with a smile on his face. Ask one of them out and we can double date this weekend. There is a new movie coming out. I am tired of sitting home every night, Lucky said. Why not? I'll asked someone and get back to you. You want to go with me to the club? It would get you out of the house for awhile. I know it must be rough always being watched. I am like you and can't wait until everything is over. I'm wondering what those two are up to now, Nik said. I don't know and I don't care, Lucky said and the two of them headed for the club. ```````````````` Nik and Lucky were the only ones in the club beside their bodyguards. Luke was at a meeting with Robert to plan their next step. Lucky was at the bar watching his brother set up for the nights business when he heard the door open and turned to see who had walked in. Nik dropped the bottle he was holding and looked at the stranger as if he saw a ghost. Standing in the doorway was Mikkos Cassadine, or at least that is who the man looked like. Helena and Stavros were standing behind him and they walked into the club. Lucky's bodyguards moved in front of him and demanded, Out. You're not welcome at any time in this club, Johnny said and he put his hand on his gun. This is some kind of trick. Mikkos Cassadine died over fifteen years ago. Helena, what are you up to now? Nik demanded. Nikolas this isn't any of your business. We are here to claim Mikkos grandson and leave. We have a court order and there is nothing any of these nice gentlemen can do about it, she said. Lucas, come here. Mikkos demanded. No way and don't call me Lucas. My name is Lucky. I'm not going anywhere with you and that is final, Lucky said and started to back up. Charlie and the other men moved with him and they were going out the back of the club. Suddenly the kitchen door opened and the Cassadines men arrived. They took out Lucky's bodyguards without much trouble. They didn't kill the men but they put them out of commission for a while. Nik grabbed for the gun under the bar but Stavros moved faster then he did. Spencer or what ever you are? Don't even think about it. Stavros said and yanked him out from behind the bar and tied him up. Lucky was struggling with the two goons who held him but nothing was working. Mikkos walked up to him and pulled his face up to his. You look a lot like Natasha's mother, but I do see a bit of Luke in you, as well. We will change that in time. Lets go, Mikkos said, and the group left pulling Lucky along with them. Chapter 49 Back to What's the Truth? |
