Chapter Thirty Two

Robert Scorpio woke up early the next day. He knew Robin meant well but it was
time for him to get out of Jasons Penthouse besides he still was having trouble
with Jasons line of work. He was sitting looking at the paper looking for some
place to live. When Sonny exited from the kitchen and joined him at the table.
I see you have finally have had it with our hospitality, Sonny said.

Yes. No offence but I think this place is to crowded for me. I dont know where
yet but Im looking. Robin wont like it but I think it is the best. I was
thinking of talking to Bobbie about a place in the Brownstone. Felicia and Mac
are living at my old house and she has an opening, Robert said.

You wouldn't have to worry much about that. Bobbie would do it just because
your friends with Luke. Speaking of our old buddy. Have you heard from him
lately? Sonny asked.

No. I was going to stop in and see him today. He has been too busy handling the
two women in his lives to deal with any of us, Robert said.

I feel sorry for Lucky. He is the prize for those two and is being pulled in
different directions. I remember they clung to each other when he was sick but
now they cant stand each other.

I know and I dont get it. I still remember how bad he looked when I finally
got the chance to look in on him. He was as white as his pillow and looked dead.
Luke sat there just trying to will life back into him and now his mothers have
forgotten that fact, Robert said.

We just have to wait and hope Luke can stop this mess from blowing up in
anyones face, Sonny said and he got up to check on Michael.

Robert headed to the Brownstone to talk to Bobbie about a place to live and then
was planning to look up her brother. Bobbie Spencer was sitting at her table
reading the paper when Robert rang the doorbell. She greeted her old friend and
invited him in.

Robert. How are you feeling? she asked.

Better then I have in a long time. Ah! Bobbie, I have come to check on the
apartment you had in the paper. You do still have it available? he asked.

Yes and if you want it. It is yours, she said.

Thanks, Bobbie. Im grateful, he said.

Robert. Dont worry. Things will get better. You can start over and dont worry
about the money. I dont need it and Luke would kill me if I threw you out. How
about you paying the normal bills until you get back on your feet and then we
will talk about rent. Bobbie told him.

I dont need you to do that for me. The WSB has taken care of everything and
Ill think of some way to make a living. I might even take up being a private
detective or Mac has been trying to push the commissioner's job back on me
again. I dont know but dont worry about me. I can land on my feet, Robert
said.

I know you can and I didnt mean to hurt your pride. Im just grateful to see
you alive and Im willing to lend you all the help you need, Bobbie told him.

Im grateful and thanks again. Ill start moving in at the end of the week.
Ill have a check for you then, Robert told her and he got up to leave.

He walked to Lukes from the Brownstone. When he opened the door, Luke was on
his knees behind the bar counting the bottles. You should be doing that in a
church not a club, Robert laughed at his old friend.

Robby, Im not praying. I was counting, Luke said getting up on his feet.

I should have know nothing could change you that much, Robert said sitting on
one of the barstools. How are you doing?

Im living and I still want to wring those ladies necks. Robert, I never met
any lady more stubborn then those two, Luke said purring him a cup of coffee.

I have and I was married to her, Robert said sadly.

No word yet on Anna? Luke asked.

No and I think there never will be. She's gone Luke, and I just have to live
with it, Robert said taking a sip of the coffee.

He looked strangely at his friend and said, You still cant make a good cup of
coffee.

Hey. My customers dont complain about it, Luke said.

What customers? Robert asked looking around the empty bar.

I havent opened today and I might not. Im just hiding from Laura. We are
still fighting about the trial and everything she said to Alexis. I love her
Rob, but Lucky is Alexis' son and she does have the right to get to know him. We
still would be his legal guardians. Only if, she would have listen to me and
compromised with her, Luke said.

Luke. What are you going to do about all of this? Robert asked.

I dont know what Im going to do about Alexis and Laura. Lucky and Nik are
another matter. Im going to sit down and have a real talk with my sons. I just
have to get them in a room with me alone, Luke said.

Good Luck! Robert said.

They were talking when Jeff and Rick Webber walked into the club and sat down.
Luke looked at the two men and said. I guess Ill open up, and he went to put
the open sign out front. He came back and asked, What are you two up today?

We came to talk to you. I know you're not up for a party but how about a
wedding? Rick asked.

Im not invited to Alexis and Neds wedding, Luke said with an odd look on his
face.

Not theirs. Me and Leslie! Rick told him.

You asked her and she said yes? Congratulations. Im happy for the both of
you, Luke said shaking his hand.

Thanks and Leslie wants both Lucky and Nikolas in the wedding. She thinks that
maybe that will help get Laura to loosen up, Rick said.

Good luck. I have tried and nothing is working, Luke said. He looked at Jeff
and asked, Jeff. Do me favor and keep and eye on my kid and that car. I see
trouble with that thing.

I will and you're right. I dont think a kid Luckys age should have a car like
that and Alexis shouldnt have given it to him, Jeff said.

Rick and Robert asked what they were talking about and Luke told them off
Luckys new toy. Robert looked at him is surprise and said, Your right about
expecting trouble. Specially if, Lucky drives like you. Robert said with a
laugh.

Thanks, buddy. I really like the vote of confidence, Luke said throwing a
towel at Robert.
