| Chapter Fourteen Suddenly, the phone was cut off and Victor walked into the room and walked beside Lucky and pulled the phone out of his hand. Time for bed, Victor ordered and pushed Lucky down on the bed. Lucky looked at him in shock. He was about to open his mouth and speak when Nikolas broke in. Ill help him. You dont have to trouble yourself, he said. No. Your room is next door. Get going. Im going to help Lucas to bed, Victor demanded, pointing to the door across the room. Victor waited until Nikolas left then he said, Dont worry Cowboy your father is coming. I have a surprise for him and you. Now, about his advice, he is right, dont push me. Im only going to take your mouthing off a little longer and then Im going to make sure you remember what happens to smart mouths in the Cassadine family. Lucky laid back and looked at him with cold blue eyes. What do want? he asked. Youll find out but not now. Just be a good boy and take your medicine as you are told, Victor said and held out some pills. Lucky just looked at them. He wasnt going for it. His dad was right, the Cassadines weren't to be trusted. Victor shook his head. You havent learned. You dont have any choice about this. Victor grabbed Luckys hair and pulled hard. When he opened his mouth to scream, the pills were popped into his mouth. Victor then held his mouth and started forcing Lucky to swallow the pills. Lucky lay on his side choking as Victor poured a glass of water. When he got his voice back, Lucky said, You bastard. Dont I have a say in what I take? Lucky started to sit up to confront him. Victor just laughed and shoved him back on the bed and walked away. Lucky couldnt believe how messed up things were. This all started because I wouldnt listen to mom and dad that the some things were just between them. I wish now I would have listened to them and realized that no matter what, all that mattered was their love for me. It took me getting kidnapped by some sickos to realize that, he muttered to himself. Lucky slowly fell asleep, but his mind didnt stop running over the events of the past weeks. He got very little sleep and Lucky wasnt ready to wake up when Nikolas shook him. Lucky get up. Victor all ready stopped by twice, He said, shaking his brother a little harder. Victor suddenly entered the room and said, He isnt up, yet? Ill get him up, and Victor walked over to the bed and yanked Lucky up by his neck and forced him to his feet. Lucky complained. You could have asked. I was getting up, you bastard. Victor snapped. He grabbed Lucky by the neck and dragged him into the bathroom and before Lucky could stop him, Victor shoved a bar of soap into his mouth. Eat it, he threatened. Lucky tried not to, but Victor was way stronger then he was and slowly he was forced to eat the soap. Lucky laid on the floor choking and Victor leaned over him. I warned you. You just would not listen. I guess Spencers must learn things the hard way. Nikolas waited until Victor left and went in to help Lucky to his feet. I tried to warn you. Lucky, stop pushing him. You are just making matters worse, Nikolas warned him. Nik, I cant help it. He has a way of setting me off, Lucky choked. Suddenly, Lucky turned green and Nik helped him over to the sink. Afterwards, Luckys stomach was still doing loops and he didnt want any breakfast. If any one asked him, he just wanted to sleep. Nikolas helped him clean up and get dressed. Lucky was surprised to find the cloths at least fit his style. The boys headed to the dinning hall and were surprised to find Laura sitting beside a strange boy. They both realized it must be Lance. He did look a lot like Lucky, but something was different. Lucky couldnt see much of Luke, if any, in him. Something wasnt right about his new brother. He reminded Lucky of someone and he didnt know who. Good morning, Lucas. Nikolas. Helena said. Lucas sit by me, she pointed to the chair to her right. Lucky ignored her and was about to sit beside Laura, when Victor grabbed him and shoved him into the other chair. You heard your grandmother, he said into Luckys ear. She isnt my grandmother. Leslie is and if youre referring to Alexis' mom, she killed her just as she tried to kill Leslie, Lucky said, trying to get up. You wont learn. Im the boss around here and you will do what I say. Here are the rules and dont forget them. Im your Uncle Victor and you will address me as that and you will call Helena, grandmother. Stavros is Uncle Stavros and Laura is Aunt Laura. Your name is Lucas, not Lucky or Cowboy. Understand? He said, getting right into Luckys face. She is my mother, Lucky said. You cant change that fact and nothing you say or do will change my mind. Victor slapped Lucky hard across the mouth. Laura tried to get up but Stavros stopped her. He is in charge and not you, Stavros said pulling her into the seat. Laura ignored him. She pleaded, Victor stop. Let me talk to him. You're right, I didnt give birth to Lucky but he is my son. I love him with all my heart and have from the moment I laid eyes on him and you can not chance my heart. Give me a chance to reason with him. Victor nodded and pointed to the other room. Laura got up and helped her son to the other room. When the door was closed she turned to him and said, Lucky stop. He is going hurt you, she warned. I cant help it. Mom, this isnt right. Im not their heir and nothing they say will the change that fact. I dont care what Mikkos' will said. Nik is Stefan's son and was raised to be the Cassadine. He should be the heir not me, Lucky said. Lucky, you taking on Victor alone isnt smart. He is strong and out weighs you at least by hundred pounds. Let your father take him on. I know this is hard for you but is hard on all of us. You getting hurt just hurts me even more. I know a lot has been said and done. We have a lot to talk about but please do as I ask and dont push Victor, Laura said hugging him. Ill try but it isn't going easy and Im worried about Nik. Mom, he learned that Stefan is dead and he hasnt reacted at all. I dont think its a lie and we both havent dealt with the scene in the courtroom. I have trouble looking at you. The last times I saw you, you said you wanted me dead and you even tried to hurt me, Lucky told her with tears in his eyes. Lucky, that wasnt me. I love you and I knew about Alexis. Your father never kept that a secret from me. We agreed even before you were born to raise you. I loved you then as I do now. They cant change that fact. We just have to wait for your father to come and get us out of here, she said touching him lightly on the arm. How is your arm? Sore, but it is all right. I dont feel right, mom. Victor has been forcing me to take some pills and they make me feel weird. He even washed my mouth out with soap for calling him a bastard. Ill try to keep quiet, but its hard when you keep getting shoved around, Lucky said, reaching up to wipe the tears from her eyes. They both headed back to the dinning hall and Laura helped Lucky sit in the chair that Helena had offered him. She leaned over and kissed him on the check. Be good, she whispered. Are you ready to behave yourself? Victor asked. Yes, Uncle Victor, Lucky said, with total sarcasm in his voice. Lucky tried to eat but his stomach was still doing loops. When Laura got up to head to her room, he tried to follow but Victor stopped him. Nikolas may go with his mother but we have things to work on, he said, pulling Lucky in the other direction. Laura looked over at her son with concern in her eyes. She knew Luckys temper and he wasnt going to be as easy to push around as Victor thought. She just hoped he wouldnt get hurt before Luke arrived. Chapter 15 Back to What's the Truth |
