| Chapter Two � �Hello Darling� Luke walked into Kelly�s and sat down at the counter. �Ruby, one bowl of your chilly and a cup of coffee. Please darling.� he asked. Bobbie and Stefan have been married for a month. Luke finally stopped gripping and excepted him into the family with the threat, Bobbie gets hurt and Stefan stops breathing. �Luke. How is the Club coming a long are you going to be ready for your grand opening in time?� she asked. �Yes, but things are sure going slow. I still think Sonny took me some how,� he said taking a bite. �How is everyone,� she asked. �Lucky has just finished another album cover for Lois and she is working with other record company�s to see if he could do get more. Lois is even willing to be his manager. I�m not to worried about anyone trying to take advantage of him with her around. Lois has a good head on her shoulders. Lu is shopping with Laura today. She starts first grade in about a week. I haven�t figured out who is more exited Laura or Lu. Laura didn�t get to any of the parent things with Lucky. She is trying to put all of her energy into Lu�s life,� he said finishing his bowl. �Liz told me Lucky isn�t going back to school. Why not?� she asked. �Could not stay cooped up any longer. He is working with me on the Club. He will keep the books and hire the acts. I will handle the rest.� Luke said with a sly grin. �You snake. Pushing off the paper work on your son is slick,� she said hitting him playfully on the arm. �I know.� he said getting up from the stool. �I have to get back. Lucky and Liz have a lunch date and someone has to be there when the beer order comes in.� Ruby watched Luke leave. She was wiping up the counter when a voice from behind her said. �Hello, Darling. Long time no see.� Ruby turned around to find Michael leaning against the kitchen doorframe. �What do you want?� she asked. �Ruby, is that a way to greet your husband after all this time?� he said wrapping his arms around her. �You left me along time ago, Michael. I don�t need you and neither dose your son.� she said pulling away from him and walking into the kitchen. �He does and so does my grandson. They just don�t know it yet,� he said with a sly smile. �You leave them alone. They�ve been threw enough because of your family. I will not stand by and watch them get hurt more.� she said throwing the bowl in the sink. �My family will pay dearly for that. I promise you, but it is time for my son to take his place by my side. You messed up things long enough,� he said walking out the door. Ruby waited for a good ten minutes then she headed to Luke's. Luke was behind the bar counting today�s shipment. When he looked up to see her standing there breathing hard. �Ruby are you all right?� he asked with a worried look on his face. �No. I need to talk to you. I only ask that you wait for me to finish before you say anything.� she asked after slamming the shot he poured her. �Ok Ruby. What�s wrong?� he said leaning on the bar. �You don�t normally drink like this.� �Luke before you were born. I met and married a man named Michael. He was from a very rich and powerful family. I didn�t know until we arrived on their island. What he was really like? He was a cold calculating killer. He loved power and money, not me, his family, or his son. His brothers gathered together and over threw him. They let me take my son and leave with the promise. I would never come return. Michael and his best friend Andrew had gotten away. I haven�t seen them in years, at least until now. I went to Florida to live with my best friend and her family. She had just lost a child and agreed to take care of my son. As time past, I became the Aunt to him and her daughter. I even raised them after her death. I figured that it was easier to let him believe that I was just an Aunt then to tell him about his father. He would have gone looking for him. I could not let Michael destroy him like he did everything else. Now Michael is back and what�s to take my son and his grandson. He will destroy them.� Ruby could not go on. She just sat and cried. �Ruby what is Michael�s last name?� Luke asked dreading the answer. �His name is Michael Cassadine but most people call him Lord Death.� she answered. Luke went numb. Cassadine was bad enough, but hearing your father was Lord Death that was different. He heard from Robert, that the WSB has been looking for Lord Death for years. He has killed more people then the Civil War. �Ruby. Stop crying. I understand. I�m up set, but I understand why you hid the truth. I might be the only person on the planet who understands keeping secrets to protect your family, even from them. I need to know what he wants,� he said purring her another drink. �He wants you and Lucky. He needs an heir and he tends to take you. He won�t ask. Michael never asked for anything in his life. If he could not sweet-talk you out of it. He just took it. Don�t trust him Luke. Michael is not a loving father. He would not know what love was. I should know. I was married to him.� Ruby pleaded. �I promise Ruby. No one is going to hurt Lucky or me. I will not allow it. I will go to hell and back to save my son. I don�t care who my father was. I am still the same person, Luke Spencer,� he said kissing her on the cheek. She smiled at him. Luke had told her to go home and rest. He would come and check on her later. He needed to set a few things in motion first. In between the phone and swallowing a bottle of whiskey, Luke tried to keep his mind off a couple of facts. Ruby was his mother and his father was a Cassadine. Luke called Sonny, Jason, Robert, and Stefan. He knew he needed help. The first thing he did was place more guard on Lucky. He did not want to get blinded sided. Luke knew Lucky wasn�t going to like all the protection, but the kid was going to get used to it. �Spencer. What�s wrong? You sounded tense,� Robert asked walking into the Club. He was the last to arrive. The others were sitting around the bar watching Luke polish off another bottle. All of them were wondering what had set him off. �Luke. What happened? You don�t drink this much unless something is really wrong.� Robert asked. �Ruby just came in and told me something. Stefan have you ever heard of a man named Michael Cassadine?� Luke asked. Stefan went white and his blood went cold. �Yes and nothing I heard about was good. He made my father and uncles look like boy scouts. He killed his own father to take over the family. Mikkos and the others took over about a few years later. Michael and his best friend escaped and were never heard of again. There was a rumor that Michael had a son, but that was never proven. Why do you ask?� �Hello cousin. Michael is my father and he is back. Not only that. He�s now known as Lord Death.� Luke said taking another drink. Stefan looked at him in pure disbelief. Sonny and Robert lost it. �Your joking right.� asked Sonny. �What gets you the most. That I am a Cassadine or Lord Death�s son.� Luke asked. �The second. He is not a man to mess with lightly. He gets paid not to kill someone. He controls the biggest underground operation on this planet. He has his hands into every dirty deal there is and more killers on his pay role then all the governments in the world. No one knows what he looks like or where he operates from. People stay loyal to him because they are afraid of what could happen.� Robert said. �Well. I am taking him on. He is coming after Lucky and me. I�m not going to back down.
