| Chapter Nineteen Luke Tried To Get The Truth Luke spent two days and nights keeping watch over Lucky. Nothing was working. Lucky still hadnt moved a muscle all that time. On the third day, Luke had had it. He got up and started toward the door. Where are you going? Robert asked. Im calling Stefan. He has to know what could help. Luke said walking out of the room. Robert was just staring at him. How are you going to get to a phone? he wondered to himself. Luke walked into Michaels office without knocking and sat on the edge of the desk. He picked up the phone and dialed Bobbies number. What are you doing? Michael demanded. Im getting answers and the only one who can help is Stefan. Luke said staring back at him. Stay out of this, father, Im not in the mood. This is going too far. Ill let this slip this time but before you go back to my grandson, we are going to have a little talk. Michael said leaning back in his chair. Luke didnt flinch, anything would be worth it. Only if Lucky would start moving again. The phone on the other end picked up and Bobbie answered. Cassadines resident. she said. Hi, Sis. Luke said. Luke, is that you? Where are you? she demanded. And why did you kill Shawn? Bobbie, I dont have time for this. I need to talk to Stefan or Nikolas. Lucky isnt talking or moving. I have to find out if he has done this before? Luke said almost loosing his control. Bobbie heard the cracks in his voice and handed the phone over to Stefan. Whats wrong? he asked. Lucky has shut down. He was beaten a few days ago and now he hasnt moved. I was wondering if you might know what would help? Luke asked. Stefan looked up to the ceiling. He was hopping this wasnt going to happen. Lucky wont come around until he thinks its safe. The last time he was out for about five days. Play your favorite Jazz record and talk softly to him and Luke dont yell at all. He will not come around if you're yelling. He will not understand the difference in your voice and someone else. Stefan said. My favorite Jazz record. How does that help? Luke asked. Helena played it when he was scared. I found it was the only thing that helped. Stefan replied. I should have known. Luke said. Stefan take care of my family and say good bye to Bobbie for me. Then Luke hung up the phone. He stood and turned to Michael. You were saying? You are not in total charge yet. You set some rules here are mine. I say when and how long you can use the phone. When Lucky is better, you and Robert will started learning the business and that means you go where we go. When the year is up you will have everything but until then, Im the boss not you. Michael said getting to his feet and looked Luke right in the eyes. Fine with me, father. I'm going to check on my son. Luke said with a cold tone of voice. Leave and one more thing. Every Sunday, Lucky and you will have dinner with me. I heard Lucky is a good pianist. He will play for us for a while. Michael said with an evil smile. Luke walked back to the their rooms. I would have rather been beaten. Luke muttered. Lucky, I keep getting you into this deeper. He arrived to the room and started to go through the CDs in the cabinet. Finally, he found what he was looking for. Luke put the CD in and had it playing through all the rooms and then pressed repeat. Luke then went back to trying to get Lucky to open up.
