Chapter 18:

Lucky was lying on the couch resting, when a voice came from over head. "Hey, Spencer, Trying to change your looks?" Sly asked Lucky. Lucky opened one eye and found Sly looming over him with this big grin on his face.

Lucky sat up and smiled broadly at his friend or as much as the stitches in his mouth would allow him to smile. "Where you been, man?" Lucky asked moving over to give Sly a place to sit down.

Sly sat down beside Lucky and looked at his friend with a worried look on his but at least he wasn't jumping right into things. "Aunt Jenny decided to take the family of hers on a six month trip back to Ireland to explore our family's history. The trip was nice and getting out of school was great but Lucky, I feel like a abandoned you," Sly told him.

"You didn't, man. You couldn't have foreseen all of this and if you had you would have warned me, right?" Lucky asked trying to sound light hearted about it but he was failing at it miserably.

"Yeah, I would have warned you. So, tell me all that has happened. I only know parts of it and that isn't much," Sly said. He knew some of it and what he knew turned his stomach. Lucky was his best friend and he had gone threw the worst part of his life without anyone to lean on and he felt bad for enjoying his trip. Now, he wished he would have taken time to write but writing wasn't one of Sly's most favorite things in the world to do and Lucky knew this and Sly hoped he understood it. Lucky looked at his friend and told him the story. He didn't leave anything out and he told him things that he never told Kevin. It felt good telling Sly these things and it felt like old times. The two boys picked up exactly were they left off six mouths back. "You mean, he did all that?" Sly asked Lucky after he was done talking.

"Yeah, but he didn't mean it. It's the Cassadine's fault. They are the ones that drove him to it," Lucky told Sly.

"Lucky?" Sly said. "I know you love your father. I loved mine but he wasn't the greatest when it came to controlling his temper. He did say something that weren't right. Isn't Luke partly to blame for all this?"

"Sly, you don't understand. He wouldn't have do it if she was live and they killed her and I'm never going to forgive them for it," Lucky told Sly and then he buried his head in his hands.

Sly patted his friend on the back and said, "Lucky, I know how you feel. I remember when I lost dad. I was so lost for a long time and it didn't help that your father had his face. I do know that the pain does start going away. It's just going to take time."

"I don't know why didn't hate me. Your father died because people thought he was my father. Weren't you mad at me just a little?" Lucky asked him as he looked up at his friend.

"Not at you or your family. I knew you didn't set out to kill my father but I was at the world. I was alone and I wanted to know what I did to earn it," Sly told Lucky.

"I wonder the same things. First mom, Lu, and grandma and now Aunt Bobbie, I wanted Stefan dead. I wanted him to pay for killing my mother and lied in bed thinking all of the things that I could to him. I even started to plan things out but then the accident and I lost my aunt. I keep thinking that I brought this on me that I was the one that wished for this," Lucky told him.

"No, one can wish for something to happen and it does. Your aunt died because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time just like your mother. I don't see anyone hurting them on propose," Sly said to Lucky.

"I do and I know he did it. Helena hated my mother just as much as she hated Stefan. I see her doing this to both of them and I'm going to bring her down. Some how, I'm going to end her rain of terror," Lucky told Sly.

"I thought the Wicked Witch of the Port Charles wasn't a person to even consider going after?" Sly asked Lucky shivering at all the things Lucky had told him about Helena Cassadine.

"Dad can't do it and I'm the only one left. It's up to me to bring down the ice princess and I'm going to do it," Lucky said his voice flat and cold. Sly winced at this but didn't say anything to Lucky. He thought that Lucky was bluffing and that he was just still angry about loosing his mother. So, the two boys went for a walk to talk. Sly told Lucky about his trip and for the first time in months Lucky found himself laughing and enjoying himself. It felt great to put things behind him and forget about thing at least for the time being.
