| Chapter 6 While Luke was running around town getting ready to go after Helena, Stefan Cassadine sat at his desk and reading the information that just came into his hands. "So, you were my mother's play thing," Stefan said as he thought about Luke and Helena being lovers. He felt for certain that Luke never told Laura about his past with Helena. He also was felt very certain that Laura would leave Luke as soon as she found out. Stefan knew he should wait for Alexis to come back from her trip to Greece with the last bit of information she was gathering on Luke's past with Helena but Stefan thought he had enough and decided to go right over to see Laura and drop this news on her. Stefan drove to the house with a pleased look on his face and started to make plans for Laura and her children to move in with him and Nikolas. He knew that Lucky would be a problem but he could make certain amends to the boy, if it meant striking back at Luke. When Stefan pulled the car up to the curb in front of the Spencer house, he was surprised to find three police cars out front. This panicked Stefan because he knew that Nikolas was having dinner with his mother this evening and he rushed inside to find out what had happened. "Nikolas?" Stefan called out as he stormed into the house. All Stefan saw in the room at that moment was Laura who was talking to Detective Taggert and Detective Garcia. "Laura, where is Nikolas?" Stefan demanded from Laura and ignored the two detectives completely. "Mr. Cassadine, we were about to call you," Taggert said trying to hide his dislike for the man. He had a job to do and his opinion of this man really didn't count right now. It was the safety of the two boys that mattered. "It looks like your mother took Nikolas and Lucky from this house to night." "How do you know it was my mother?" Stefan asked but it was clear he was asking Laura. "Ari was with them," Laura said flatly. Stefan looked at Laura hopping that this was some joke but he knew from the look on her face that it wasn't. "So, Mr. Cassadine," Taggert said as he looked at Stefan with this plan plank stare. "Do you have any idea where your mother would have taken the boys?" "Off hand, no, I have no idea but I'm going to find out," Stefan said and he pulled out his cell phone and made some calls. He started to bark orders in Russian so the officers around him didn't have the slightest idea what he was saying. Laura knew some of the words from her time on the island but not enough to keep up with the conversation. After a few moments of talking on the phone, Stefan hung up and looked at the expecting group. "Mother has ordered her compound in Italy opened up and so, it is very logical that she is taking them there." "We better contact the FBI," Garcia said and he started to the phone. "Don't worry about it," Luke said as he walked into the room and joined the little group. He went right to Laura and wrapped an arm around her. "Where is Lu?" he asked after kissing her on the cheek. "Up stairs with mother and the girls. Robin and Liz are keeping them calm for me," Laura said and she knew from the look on Luke's face that he came up with nothing at the yacht. "Why not call the FBI?" Taggert asked Luke not liking the idea of being told what to do especially by someone like Luke Spencer. "Because the FBI isn't able to handle Helena and rushing her would only get those boys killed and I'm not risking Lucky's life. I'll go after the bat myself," Luke said and he went to the closet and took down his black traveling bag. He turned and started for the door. Stefan thought about for a brief moment and then called out, "Hold it, Spencer. I am going with you. I know where they are heading." "I know that as well and besides. I don't need you," Luke said and he turned to go again. "Luke!" Laura's voice called out and he stopped and looked at her. The conversation was done without words but the couple spoke in volumes at least between each other. After a long time, Luke let out a long breath and then turned to Stefan. "All right, but you get my way and you'll regret it." "Don't worry about me. I can handle myself," Stefan said and the two men left together. Taggert walked to Laura and asked, "You think that is a good idea. One of them might not make it back alive?" "Luke and Stefan hate each other but with Lucky and Nikolas lives on the line. They will find away to work together," Laura said trying to sound sure of herself but she was far from it. She knew Luke's temper and if Stefan did get in his way then he just might get rid of both Cassadines on the same trip. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` While Luke rushed off to his house to find out what was wrong. Ari and the men with him arrived at a private airport with Lucky and Nikolas. The car stopped beside the private jet and Ari climbed out of the back seat. He turned to grab for Lucky but the teen was ready for him. He kicked at Helena's boy toy and knocked him back words. Lucky quickly got out of the car and tried to run but with his hands still tied behind his back. He found it hard to move fast at all. One of the men grabbed Lucky and slammed him hard against the car. He was about to hit the kid again when Helena's voice stopped them all in their tracks. "Stop. I don't want him bruised." She walked up to the group and the man, man-handling Lucky let him go and moved back out of her reach. "Sorry, madman," he muttered as he backed up. Helena ignored him and walked to Lucky's side. "Now, Lucas. You can't go anywhere and this fighting isn't helping anything thing." Helena voice was calm and she was rubbing her hand up and down his neck. "Let go," Lucky said and pulled himself away from her. Nikolas, who had was taken out the other door watched this with a shocked and sicken look on his face. Lucky caught a glimpse of this but ignored him for the moment. He had to keep his mind on Helena and where she was at all times. "Why are doing this?" He asked her after putting distance between them. Helena just stood there smiling at him with this amused look on her face. "Lucas, I am not going to hurt you. Me, you and Nikolas are going to take a trip and we are going to get to know each other better." "You do know dad will find me," Lucky said as he tried to keep his breathing calm and his mind clear. He knew exactly what this old bat wanted and he wasn't going to let her get the chance to even try it. "Oh, I hope he will. You see, Luke is the reason for this trip," Helena said and with that the guards grabbed both boys and guided them on to the plane. Lucky and Nikolas were shoved into to seats in the back of the plane and strapped in afterwards the guards walked away leaving the two teens alone. "Lucky?" Nikolas whispered in his half brothers ear. "What?" Lucky whispered back. "Did she do what I think she did?" Nikolas asked in a low confused voice. "Yes, she was making moves on me and Nikolas. I don't walk to talk about it right now," Lucky said hoping the prince would get the hint and drop the conversation. He had enough trouble thinking about Helena. He didn't need to talk about her. Nikolas still had a puzzled look on his face but he decided to drop the subject at the moment. Soon the plane took off to parts unknown. Chapter 7 Back to Luke's Secret Past |
