| Chapter 7 Luke had to admit that taking Stefan along had its advantages. They had gone directly to the Cassadine jet and took off. There was no customs or nothing and that helped Luke out for he was packing a thirty-eight in his bag. The two sat in silence for a long time but it was Stefan that spoke first. "So, tell Spencer. How did you enjoy mother's company?" He asked Luke in a cold voice. Luke looked up from cleaning his gun and glared at Stefan with hate filled eyes. "How did find out?" He asked. "I found pictures of you and mother in different places in the world. I wonder did father know?" He asked. "I doubt it. Mikkos could careless what Helena did," Luke said. He was trying hard not to shot the count at that moment because he knew that going after Helena was going to be hard and he did need his help. "Yes, they did have a unusual relationship," Stefan said, "I just never saw you as a play thing." Those words hit Luke wrong and his reaction took Stefan off guard. Luke jumped from his seat and shoved the gun right under Stefan's chin. "You know, count. You didn't dig deep enough. Your mother playthings are deadly. She used them to do her bidding. They kill for her at whim and she is very good teacher. So, if you want to live, I keep your trap shut." Luke words had no life in them and Stefan suddenly realized that he could kill him without a second thought. He decided to back down just a bit at least until he got the upper hand on Luke. Stefan licked dry lips and said, "I didn't mean anything by it. I was just wondering why?" "There is an old American saying, 'Curiosity Killed the Bat," Luke said but he did go back to his seat and stayed put for the rest of the trip. ~~~~~~~~ Alexis plane landed in Port Charles just an half and hour after Stefan and Luke's plane took off. She went from the airport to Spoon Island but didn't stay to long because she found out that Stefan took off to the Spencer home. She knew he had left for one reason and she raced to stop him. There was something that he didn't know about a she had to tell him before he said too much. The cops were gone by the time Alexis pulled her car up to the Spencer house. She thought Stefan was still there because Luke refused to drive with the count and they took the caddy to the airport. She walked up the door and knocked in urgency. Laura opened the door and wasn't to surprised to find Alexis standing there. She thought the woman heard from Stefan and Luke and came to give her some information. "They call ready?" she asked in shock. "Who?" Alexis asked in a confused voice. She was trying to look over Laura's shoulder to get a glimpse of Stefan but the only people she saw in the room was Bobbie, Amy, and Ruby. Who came over to wait with Laura as soon as they heard about the kidnapping. "Luke and Stefan?" Laura said but then she realized that the lawyer didn't know about Nikolas being taken by Helena. "Alexis, come on in. I have to tell you," and after Alexis took a seat. She slowly told her about the events of that night. Alexis let out a deep breath and looked really pail. "Laura, I hate to say this but it worse that then you think," she said in a very shaken voice. "What do you mean?" Laura asked getting a little panicky because of the look on Alexis face. She never has seen her like that before. "Oh, boy," Alexis said trying to find the right words to what she was about to say. "Laura, Helena and Luke had a kid together." "What?" all the women in the room said at the same time. "You're lying?" Bobbie snapped. "My brother wouldn't have left a child with that woman." "Luke and Helena?" Amy said looking at Bobbie with shock. "Oh, god." Laura said. "Your not saying that Stefan is Luke's son?" "Yes," Alexis said in a flat tone voice. "No way. This is some game," Bobbie said getting up and starting to pace the room out of frustration. "Hold it, Bobbie." Ruby said let her tell the story and the look she gave Alexis said she better not be playing games with them not now and not with this kind of information. "I went to Greece to dig up information on Luke. I found out that did some travelling when he was a teenager. I found out that Luke was once one of Helena's lovers." Alexis began. "You mean play things," Ruby said coldly. "Call it what is was." "Yes, one of play things. I informed Stefan of this information and said I had more. I couldn't tell him on the plane. I thought he would sit on this until I gave him everything. I didn't count on Helena taking the boys," Alexis voice was shaking and she started to wonder if she should be talking to them about this but knew none of them would let her leave until they got everything. "He came here to tell me about my husband," Laura said her voice full of hate for Stefan. She knew him well enough to read his mind at this moment in time and didn't pity him for what was about to come, if Alexis story was true. "What?" Alexis asked wondering what Laura was talking about. She just assumed that Stefan got a call that Nikolas was taken and that he went off with Luke to save the prince. "Never mind," Laura said, "Go on tell your story." She wanted to know more of what Alexis had to say. "I found a few things in Greece and one of them was Mikkos Will. He tells a lot that Helena wanted hidden. One of them was that fact that" Alexis paused for a few moments before speaking again then her words came out in a rush. "That, Stefan is Luke's son." The room was quiet for a long time and no one said a word. Finally, Bobbie found her voice. "You have some nerve. My nephew's life is in danger but yet you are still playing games," Bobbie's words were cold and full of venom. "It is no game. I have proof," Alexis said and handed the papers over to Laura. Who took them with shaking hands as Alexis told them the rest of her story, "Mikkos didn't believe that Stefan was his son and he had it checked out. He didn't tell Helena until he needed; too that is how they worked. Mikkos and Helena was a perfect match. He used her secrets against her and she did the same to him. It wasn't until the I came to live with them that Mikkos played his hole card." "It says here that you got to live with them as cousin and Stefan got to live," Laura said reading parts of Mikkos Will. "Yes, that is correct. As you read from the will the only reason Luke lived was because Helena made a deal with Mikkos," Alexis said coldly. She hated to think that the two adults that raised her and Stefan played games with their lives like that. "What kind of deal?" Ruby asked. "That I never found out about my mother or father and Stefan never learned the truth as well. Helena also had to agree to never see Luke again or forfeit her life," Alexis said flatly, "Mikkos kept him alive because he knew that this bothered Helena more then killing him." "What a family," Amy muttered as she got up to look out the window to try to get the images from running wild inside her brain. "Yes, you can say that," Alexis said, "but it didn't it." "Yes, and I'm wondering why Helena never let this come to light?" Laura asked. "Think about it? Stefan, the son of the man that killed Mikkos, it was like rubbing salt in a wound; Helena got her revenge. Stefan stayed a Cassadine," Alexis said. "What do you mean stayed?" Bobbie asked. Laura looked up at her sister in-law and read the part of the Will that implied to Stefan. "And to Stefan, Helena's second son. I don't give you anything but I take it back. From this day on, you are no longer to be known as a Cassadine. You will leave the property and never return. You are a product of an affair that your mother had with another man or should I say boy for that is all he was. If you want to know his name, go ask her and it is up to Helena to see that you are take care off." "She would have taken care of him all right," Alexis said coldly. "He even went as far as to give me all of what should have been Stefan's. I finally found out who I was but it has cost Stefan everything," Alexis said. "And Nikolas," Laura said looking at Alexis for a sign on how much she knew about her and Stefan. "Yes, because we both know that Nikolas is his son," Alexis said. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Helena's plane landed in a private airfield in Greece. Helena walked to where Lucky and Nikolas were sitting and ordered the men to untie them. "You two have no where to go and if you try, you will upset me greatly. I don't think you want to do that," her words were verge but both of them knew exactly what she meant by them. Lucky and Nikolas got up from their seats started to walk. Lucky was rubbing his wrist as he tried to get the blood flowing again. He noticed that Helena was watching him and tried to move out of her line of sight, but every where he moved. Her eyes went along with him. It didn't take long to get from the airport to the villa. Nikolas looked at the build and said, "I never seen this place before." "You won't because Stefan stopped coming here after his fathers death," Helena told him and the group headed inside the house. A maid was waiting for them and she greeted Helena with a stiff greeting. "Everything is set up as you ordered," the maid said as she bowed to the woman. "Good. We have had a long trip and I think a rest called for. Have the boys take to their rooms for few hours. We will have something to eat later." Helena informed the woman and then headed up to her rooms. "Come with me," maid said to both Lucky and Nikolas. She bowed to Nikolas but her reaction to Lucky was cold and flat. They first headed to the servant's side of the house and Lucky wasn't surprised that he was given a room there. Nikolas was taken up to the family rooms and his rooms were fitting the prince. Lucky looked around his room after being locked inside. He found personal things everywhere at first he thought it was left behind by just some old servant then he saw the picture. On the table by the bed was a picture of a little red head girl, a curly blond teen and very striking young woman. As Lucky studied the picture, he soon realized that it was his own family. He never seen a picture of his father in teens and we was amazed that he did look a little like him. "This was your room," Lucky said out loud and he started to look around for more. He didn't find much but what he found told him a lot about Luke. There were hot rod magazines on the other dresser and in the bathroom was a comb and other bathing supplies. Luke knew that Helena set this up for him but he couldn't help but know that his father left this stuff behind. He sat and looked at the picture of the teen and tired to really to get know him. Lucky fell asleep soon afterwards and his mind went back into time to a place that was far out of his reach. He was lost in his dreams when a strange filling come over him. He opened his eyes and saw that it was hours later but what got to him the most was that Helena was now sitting on the side of the bed. "You like your room?" she asked. "Yeah, it ok. What you want?" Lucky asked sitting up and started to climb out of bed but Helena put a hand on his arm and pulled him back to her. "I'm not going to hurt you. You act as if I'm going to bite," she said as her hand gently moved up and down his arm. "Its not that I'm worried about," Lucky said trying to pull his arm free. "Lucky!" Helena said her voice sounded hurt from his rejection. "What? You think I'm dumb. I know what you want and I'm dad. He needed the money and you used that against him. I don't need your money and I know that you are a dead road," Lucky voice was hard and this time he finally got out of bed and moved as far away from her as he could get. "Everyone has price. I just have find yours," Helena told him and without out another word. She left him along in the room. Lucky rushed to the bathroom and got sick. He was trying hard not to let her get to him but it didn't work. Helena moves were coming faster and she was going further every time. He was hopping that Luke showed up before she went to far. Lucky stayed awake for the rest of the time and a few hours later. Nikolas walked in ready all ready dressed for dinner. "Nice room," Nikolas said as he walked into the room. "Thanks. So, am I serving or I guest?" Lucky asked. "You're dinning with us. I tired to get grandmother to move you near me but she said it was improper." Nikolas said coldly. "Don't worry about. It keeps distance between her and me," Lucky said and he went to the closet and grabbed something to ware. He noticed that Nikolas shook his head. "What?" "The black suit, Grandmother's orders." Nikolas told him. "Fine, I don't want the dear lady mad. I have enough trouble with her," Lucky said grabbing the other suit and heading into the bathroom. He wasn't in there long when he came out holding a small camera. "She has gone to far. First, she has her hands all over me, then I wake up with watch me and not this?" Lucky said throwing the camera on the bed and looking around for more. He found one more right about his bed. He leaped up and pulled in down. "What is going on?" Nikolas asked hoping that it wasn't what he thought it was. "Your loving Grandmother wants me in bed with her," Lucky snapped. "That's sick," Nikolas said. "You got that right. I want go home and now," Lucky said. Nikolas realized that what Helena was doing was really getting to Lucky and he felt for him. They both might not be the best of friends but they are now in the same boat. "Lucky, if this means anything to you. I will not let her hurt you," Nikolas said his voice sound sincere. "Thanks but I don't think you can stop her. We just have to hope that help comes soon," Lucky said and he went back into the bathroom to get cleaned up. He came out a little while later dressed and ready to go to dinner. Nikolas smiled and for the boys went down to dinning hall together. They didn't say anything but from their reactions they both realized that they were on the same side and Helena was now the enemy. They walked into the dinning room and found Helena waiting for them. "You both you look nice. How did you sleep?" Helena asked him. "Not to well. I got rudely awaken," Lucky said as he took a seat and moved the chair over a little bit more. He wanted to keep distance between him and Helena. Helena noticed this but didn't comment about it. "I'm sorry Luke but can sleep better tonight," Helena said. Both Lucky and Nikolas realized that Helena called Lucky by his father's name and this got both boys. Nikolas was worried about Lucky. He wondered how far his Grandmother would go with this. "My name is Lucky," Lucky informed her finally. "Lucky is so childish. I think Luke fit you better," Helena said but she did change the subject. "Nikolas, I hope you liked your room. I had it decorated special for you." "Thank you, Grandmother. It is very nice," Nikolas said still taken back by Helena's last remark. The three of them sat in silence and ate the meal. Afterwards, Helena allowed the boys to go exploring but warned them not to go to far. They were guard at all times. Lucky and Nikolas got up and headed outside. The two of them walked around and talked about Helena's last actions. "Is it me or should I be worried?" Lucky asked Nikolas as they walked. "I'd worried," Nikolas admitted. "She has lost her mind. She starting to think I'm my father," Lucky said his voice was shaking but so were his hands. "Lucky? What aren't tell me?" Nikolas asked. Lucky thought about it and decided it was best to come clean. He really didn't have a choice. Nikolas would find out sooner or later anyway. So, Lucky told Nikolas about Luke his past with Helena. He did leave out the part about the event a few weeks ago. He figured that was just between the Spencers. Chapter 8 Back to Luke's Secret Past |
