| Chapter 10 Nikolas and Lucky were taken to Lucky's room and locked in. They dropped on to the bed still shock at what they had just learned. Luke and Stefan father and son? They weren't only brothers but uncle and nephew? How messed up was this family? "Lucky?" Nikolas finally said. "Yeah," Lucky said. "You buy this?" Nikolas asked him. "I don't know. She sounded like she meant it. Why would she lie? What would she have to gain?" Lucky asked him and looked at Nikolas with a shocked stunned expression on his face. "Control over the money?" Nikolas offered. "Yeah, that's one thing but Nikolas. I have feeling it's the truth," Lucky said and he picked up the picture of Luke as a teenager and handed it to Nikolas. Nikolas looked at the picture and was shocked to see himself. "Is this Luke?" he asked Lucky. "Yeah, it is. You do look a lot like him besides the hair," Lucky told him. "But why? How?" Nikolas said as his mind tried to figure things out. "I don't know. What I do know is that we are now in bigger trouble then before. Helena really wants to take me to be with her," Lucky told him. "Help will come first," Nikolas said. "I hope," Lucky muttered and he then looked at the door not know to pray for it to stay closed or to pray for help to arrive fast. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~' Stefan pulled the car up to the barn and Luke and him got out to look around. "The house is just about a mile that way," Stefan told Luke. "I know. Helena loved this place and I spent a lot of time with her here," Luke said as he reached for the barn door. He was just about to walk in when Stefan suddenly pulled back on the cuff, yanking him almost off his feet. Luke glared coldly in Stefan's direction, "What is your problem?" "I'm not going in there. I can't," Stefan said and from the look on his face it was clear that he was about to loose control. He was white as a ghost and he was looking at the barn like something was going to jump out and hurt him. Luke was frustrated because he wanted to get to Lucky and he wasn't in the mood to deal with Stefan's mental problems. "Look, count. Your mother is with my fifteen-year-old son and she is threatening to go to bed with him. Now, I want prevent that. So, you either walk in this barn or I'm going to pick you up an carry you in," Luke said as he moved toward Stefan in a threatening manor. Stefan didn't take this to well and soon the two men were fighting. It wasn't until Luke finally got Stefan pinned faced down on the ground. "Ok, count. What in Hell is your problem?" Luke snapped. He didn't have time for this and he wasn't in the mood to deal a Cassadine. "That's where it first happened," Stefan snapped at Luke. He had thought he could walk in the barn as if nothing was wrong but the moment Luke opened the door. Everything that he had kept pinned up after all this time came rushing back to him. He felt like it was just yesterday and he just wanted to get as far way from this place as he could get. "Oh," Luke said and he got off Stefan's back and helped him to his feet. "I can understand your reaction but if don't go in. We are never going to find our sons and I bet the old bat thinks can't go in either." "How do I go in there after this time. I hate this place and everything it means to me," Stefan told Luke. "How about talking about it? I'm not the best listener in the world but I'm here and I promise. What say to me will not be used against you at a later date," Luke said with a smug smile on his face. Stefan had to laugh at this and the two men walked over the car and sat down on its hood. "Where do I start?" Stefan asked Luke. "How about the beginning?" "I was so bumb back then. I thought she really wanted to do something with me, but it was a trick. She just hurt me," Stefan said sadly as he looked up at the barn as the memories came rushing back at him. "How old were you?" Luke asked. "Ten," Stefan told him and this sicken Luke because no matter how much he hated Stefan. He would have never wished what happened to him on any child. "You know what hurt the most was the fact that my own father walked in on us and he didn't nothing to help me." "You're joking?" Luke said shocked that even old Mikkos could be that cold. "No, I'm not. He said at least I was good for something and he walked out. I knew then that no one was going to help me and that she was going to keep hurting me until she didn't need me any more," Stefan said with pure hate in his voice. "Stefan," Luke said and he waited until Stefan was looking right at him before going on. "Me and you might not be the best friends but I can say this that no one should have been hurt like you were. I think someone should have stood up for you and I'm sorry they weren't there." "Oh, they were but you killed him," Stefan said coldly. "Stavors?" Luke said having trouble believing it. "No, not my dear brother, but my Uncle Tony," Stefan said coldly, "He was the only one that cared about me or Alexis." "I hate to disappoint you but I didn't kill Tony. Your loving father did," Luke told him. "Don't lie now. I know that you were the one that killed him. Victor told me," Stefan said. "Victor is a liar with all his other faults. If I killed a Cassadine, I admit it. Mikkos pushed his own brother in that chamber because he stood up to him and Victor did nothing about it," Luke said coldly. "Why would my uncle lie to me?" Stefan asked. "Maybe because he knew how you would react. Victor only cares about himself. I think the only decant thing ever did was stand up to your mother and save Alexis life," Luke said. "Alexis? What are talking about?" Stefan asked. He was keeping up with Luke until that moment and now he was lost and very confused. "Alexis is your half sister. She is the daughter of one of Mikkos lovers," Luke said and he told Stefan about that night in Paris. Stefan looked at Luke first in disbelief then in hate but it wasn't aimed at Luke but his family. "How can she be so cold and want to kill a innocent child?" Stefan asked Luke. "How about me and you turning the tables on her?" Luke asked him. "Let's do it," Stefan said and he jumped up off the car and they both walked into the barn together. Stefan was quiet and very distant as they got to the clue. I was in one of the stalls and Luke could guess what that meant to Stefan. Luke figured on grabbing the clue and getting out fast. He didn't want to put Stefan there any more hell then he had to. Luke could not figure out where this good charity was coming from but chalked it up not wanting to be as cold as the Cassadine family. They were the ones that ate their young! The message was easy to figure out and the two of them were soon heading down the road and to the next destination. Chapter 11 Back to Luke's Secret Past |
