Chapter Nine � �Old friends and New friends� Author�s Note: Before I begin, there are a few changes in this time line. Robin and Stone are together and neither have aids. Ned is still married to Lois and has moved as far away from the Quartermaines as possible. Sonny and Brenda are married and the Jax brothers never came to town. Mike might show up but that depends on how far I want to take this story. The biggest change is Robert and Anna are still in town and their son had just turned fifteen. They named him Lorenzo after his �Uncle Luke�. Laura stood at the door of the Port Charles Commissioners front door. She was about to turn away when it suddenly opened. �Hi. Can I help you?� asked a boy that would be around Lucky�s age. Laura fought her emotions to ask. �Is Robert or Anna home?� �My dad�s at work but mom�s here. Who can I say is calling?� he asked questionably. �Tell her its Laura.� she said. The boy closed the door and went to get his mother. A few seconds later the door swung open and Anna stood there with a very surprised look on her face. �Laura? I don�t believe it. We all thought you all were dead. Where is Luke and Lucky?� Anna said motioning her into the room. �I would rather tell you and Robert that together. Can you get him here?� Laura asked. Anna did not argue. She could tell from the look on Laura face that something was really wrong. She called Robert and asked him to get home right away. After explaining to him what was wrong. Robert Scorpio walked into his house five minutes later. �Laura are you all right? Where is Luke?� he asked without any hesitation. Laura told her old friends about the events of the past ten years. Leaving nothing out. Robert and Anna sat in shock. Hating themselves for not doing anything. �Where is your daughter and the Cassadine kid now.� Asked Robert. �In a hotel just five minutes from here. I wanted to explain everything first and could not do it with them around.� she answered. Robert had walked to the phone and called Frisco. �Jones go to the Sleep Inn just five minutes from my place.� What room Robert mouthed. Laura answered 112 and told him to say Lucky�s dream at the door. So Nikolas knew it was safe. �Pick up Luke Spencer�s daughter and a young man named Nikolas. At the door say Lucky�s dream. Bring them directly to my house.� Robert made one more call but that was on his private hook up to the WSB. He wanted to find Luke and get a line on Stavros and Helena right away. He found his wife laying a blanket over Laura�s sleeping form. �Shh!!� Anna motioned Robert into the kitchen so they would not disturb her. �That Family.� hissed Anna. �How dare they keep a family apart for ten years. I would love to�� �Anna, getting mad is not going to help. I have a feeling Luke has enough pent up anger for any of us right now. What we must do is keep Laura and the children safe. While we wait for Luke.� Robert said sitting Anna down into on of the chairs. �Where�s Lorenzo?� Robert asked. �He went to see Robin at her and Stone�s new apartment. Robert rolled his eyes. How can his daughter fall in love with a street punk like Stone was beyond him, but he also new arguing with her was useless. Robert picked up the phone and made one more call. �Who you calling?� asked Anna. �Sonny! With the Cassadines heading our way this towns going to need all the help it can get.� answered Robert. Before she could replay someone answered on the other end. �Jason let me talk to your boss this is Robert.� Jason Morgan looked at the phone in pure disbelief. The PC Chief of Police was calling Sonny the Crime Boss. �This has to be good,� said Jason. �Sonny. Robert Scorpio is on the phone for you,� he said handing the phone over to a very surprised Sonny. �Commissioner what can I do for you.� he asked. Robert laid it all out for him, at least the basics. �You said Robin means a lot to you. All I�m asking is put men on her and those others. Until we know what�s going on. Besides this will involve you any ways sooner or later. Carly Roberts� Uncle Luke is about to hit town and his enemies are right behind him. The Cassadines hate all Spencers and they must know by now about her and Mr. Morgan's wedding and of the kid,� said Robert. Sonny agreed and told Robert he was getting right on it. After hanging up Sonny turned to Jason and told him about his talk with the Commissioner. �Get men on them right away and have our men on the streets to keep a eye out for trouble. Jason, I always wondered what Spencer was like. Now I guess I�m about to find out,� said Sonny walking up to his office to make some calls. Jason headed out to carry out Sonny�s orders. Jason was thinking the same thing after all of Bobbie Spencer stories about her brother. He was going to meet the great man himself. Anna looked at her husband as like he grew another head. �Why did you call Sonny?� she asked. �Anna. I know you will not understand this, but I have this feeling we are going to need his help. Stavros Cassadine had kept the Spencers this long. He isn�t going to just give up. Don�t forget baby. Luke was helping me. He is in this mess because of it. I can not help think how I would feel if my son was raised by those Cassadines and being helpless to do anything.� said Robert. Anna agreed with her husband on that point. She couldn�t even dream the pain Luke and Laura must feel. Let alone how frighten Lucky must be. Not to long later the doorbell rang. Frisco stood at the door with a sleeping Lu Lu in his arms and very confused Nicholas besides him. �What�s up Commissioner?� asked Frisco. �I thought Spencer and his family were dead.� �No. Luke Spencer is a live and well and heading back to Port Charles, and bring the Cassadines with him,� said Robert taking Lu from his head detective�s arms. Frisco walked behind Robert and placed the carpetbag on the floor by the door. He had heard a lot about the Spencer and Cassadine war. He just never thought he would end up in the middle of it. �So.� Frisco said turning to Nicholas with an out stretched hand. �You must be Lucky. I heard a lot about your family.� Nicholas smiled and said, �Detective. My name is Nikolas Cassadine and I�m Lucas brother.� as he shook the detectives hand. Frisco had to concentrate into not showing the surprise he felt on his face. Anna had woke Laura and they headed up stairs. Leaving the men alone to talk. �Nikolas Cassadine?� asked Frisco. �Robert, what is going on?� Robert filled in Frisco on everything that Laura had told him. When he was done Frisco asked, �What do you want me to do Boss?� �Frisco are you sure. Getting involved in this could bring heat down on your family,� said Robert. �Yes. Those two have to need to pay for what they have done. So, what�s the plan.� he said leaning forward. �Frisco. I want you to go to Bobbie and Ruby before they find out about this on the streets. If they want to come over, see if they can wait until tomorrow. Laura needs rest. She doesn't need all those people around all at once and have every one keep their eyes opened. Luke should be arriving soon and trouble might be right behind him. Laura was bombarded with family early the next morning. Everyone demand answers on where they have been and where was Luke. Anna had finally yelled. �SHUT UP. Can�t you all see that she been threw enough all ready. She doesn't need you to add to the trouble.� Nikolas had walked down the steps looking at crowd of people in the Scorpio living room. �Mother are you all right?� he asked heading toward Laura. �Lucky?� came Bobbie questioned voice. �No. I am not Lucas. I�m his older brother Nicholas Cassadine.� he answered. �And if you give me a moment I�ll tell you everything that is going on.� He asked Anna to take Laura up stairs to get more rest and have her check on Lu Lu. Anna was wondering if she should leave this kid in a room fool of very confused Spencer �s and Webber�s but from the looks of the kid. She realized he could handle them. �Like, I said. My name is Nikolas and Lucas is my brother. Over the past ten years my father and grandmother had held Luke and my mother captive and raised Lucas as there own. I hope you will remember that Laura and Lucas have been through a lot. Lu is still to young to be affected and as for Luke. I think he can handle himself,� he said sitting down in one of the center chairs. Bobbie could not believe this kid. He walks down stairs like Lord of the Manner and expects them to bow or something. �You little brat.� she said. �I�m not taking orders from any Cassadine. Especially not a wet behind the ears little brat. Like yourself.� As Bobbie talked she advanced on Nicholas. �Bobbie!� came Roberts boomed voice. �The boy�s right. Laura is on the verge of a nervous brake down and I hate to find out what Lucky�s like. So sit down and let me explain all of you. Nikolas go up stairs and tend to your mother. This might be simpler without you around. As Nicholas headed up stairs Robert Scorpio started to tell his guests about the Spencer�s problems. �All I can tell you is what Laura had said when she arrived yesterday. About ten years ago, they were in a small town in the Midwest. Lucky was very sick. So they had to stay around a little longer then planed. One night the Cassadines hit without warning. Luke tried to stop them while Laura tried to save herself and Lucky, but it did not work out. Luke and Laura were hit with darts that put them asleep. When they awake. They were in a specially build prison cell. It looked like a small apartment with a deck and everything. The only problem was Lucky wasn�t there. Stavros arrived a little while later and told them from that point on. Lucky was his son and if the Spencers tried to escape by the time they arrived on the island. All they would find of him would be scatter across the entire compound.� Robert had stopped when Amy and Leslie both gasp and turned their heads. Jason and Rick motioned for him to continue. �Over the past ten years neither Luke or Laura ever heard from Lucky. Stavros gave them pictures of him to show he was alive but that is all. They were allowed to send birthday and holiday cards with very little written on them to him every year. A few days ago Stefan Cassadine and Nikolas arrived at their prison with a plan to save them all. Laura headed back here and Luke went after Lucky. My friends at the WSB have reported that Luke should be arriving in Port Charles in about an hour from now. The Cassadines haven�t left the island yet but there are signs of some kind of activity. They will be watched and I will be kept informed of their activities.� �Why are they doing this?� asked Leslie. �Revenge.� answered Robert. �They wanted to hurt Luke the most and keeping him alive and raising his son as a Cassadine was best way to do it. What we have to do is not push any of them to hard. Laura might crack. I haven�t seen Lucky but from what he written. He has not had an easy life and as for Luke?
