Chapter Ten - Luckys family Luke carried a sleeping Lucky up the front steps of the Scorpios house. Looking around Luke could hardly believe he was home. Never did old Port Chuckles looked better. As he neared the front door, It swung open and there stood Laura. Hi, Angel. I have a present for you, he said. Laura moved away to let him in. Standing in the living room was just about every one of Port Charless residents. Robert? Do you have some place I can lay him? If he wakes to this crowd, Lucky might bolt. He spent the last twenty-four hours in total culture shock. This kid hasnt been off that island in ten years. He might not be able to handle everyone at once. whispered Luke. Robert showed him where to lay Lucky with Laura close on his heels. She stayed up stairs to watch him, while Luke handled the family. As he hit the bottom of the stairs, Luke was rushed by his Aunt Ruby and Bobbie. They clung to him and almost squeezed the life out him. Aunt Ruby? Sis? Im having a little trouble breathing could you let up just a little. he choked out. Both ladies step back and glared at him. Dont you ever do that again. they yelled. Hay! I wasnt too happy about everything either you know. I sure as hell did not want to be held by the Cassadines for ten years. He said with a snarl. They both jumped back. Knowing full well of what Luke was like when he was angered. Sitting down Luke looked around at all the people in the room and knew only half. Hey, Rob has my family grown or what? he asked lighting the last of the cigars he swiped. Bobbie sat down besides her brother and said, Luke, I would like you to meet my daughter Carly and her husband Jason Morgan. He used to be Jason Quartermaine. Thats a long story for some other time but this is their son, Michael. while Bobby introduced them Carly placed the baby in his arms. Not the kid you gave up? asked Luke. Yes. She came looking for me about two years ago and has been in town ever since. she answered. Nice to finally meet you Uncle Luke. Mom has told me and Jason a lot about you. said Carly kissing him on the cheek. Sweet heart dont let my wife see you do that. She might get a little jealous. She is used to having me to herself. Laughed Luke. Im glad you havent lost your sense of humor. said Amy rapping her arms around him. Amy that is one thing no one can take from me. he answered. Rick and Leslie walked up to great Luke and offered to make sure Lucky was ok. At least physically when he awakes. Thanks. I dont even know what childhood disease hes had or hadnt. You might want to ask the Cassadines over there. He said pointing to the corner where Stefan, Alexis and Nikolas were hiding. All finally realizing what Lucky felt like on the island all those years. Well do that. It might be safer if you keep him away from a lot of people. Until we get him checked out. After all that time in one small area. He might not have a strong immune system. warned Rick. They headed over to talk to the Cassadines and then were going to check up on Laura and Lucky. The faster they moved the better it will be for Lucky. Over the next two hours, Luke met and talked to every family member or friend that he hasnt seen in years. Robert finally pushed the last one out the door just about mid night. Are you tired or can we talk? asked Robert pouring Luke a large glass of whiskey. Old buddy, you just read my mind. Luke said taking the drink. And no. Im not tired. Lets talk. They headed into Roberts office to sit and to have some privacy. How much did Laura tell you? asked Luke sitting down in one of the chairs. Everything and I read Luckys letters to you. She gave them to my that first night. answered Robert. Dam them! Luke hissed. I spent a hole trip with a son who hardly knows or trusts me. Stefan is more a father to him then I am. Luke give him time. He will come around, said Robert. Robby thats not the only thing. Hes never been off that damn island. Everything is new to him. When we landed in New York, Lucky clung to Stefan and me like glue. Hes never seen so many people in his whole life. The noise almost drove him crazy. He has a long way to go before things will be even close to normal for him. On the plane here, I asked him what he liked. He has no favorite color, food, or activity. Everything he did was because the young Prince wanted to. Lucky was given things that he didnt want or need anymore. Those drawing pads are the only things he ever owned that was his. Luckys memories fit in a small trunk that old Stiff carried in. They even took his name. They called him Lucas Lorenzo S. Cassadine. I was not even allowed to be thought off let along spoke about. Robert I promise you. When Stavros gets here. Leave the room because not even you can stop me from what I plan on doing to that **^&^. said Luke purring another glass. Lets go. said Robert grabbing his coat off the chair. Where? asked Luke. I shouldnt leave them right now. Robert grabbed Luke by the arm and pulled him along. He knew that if Luke did not blow off steam soon, There might be nothing he could do. Luke had just shot the last round into the target of the shooting range or what was left of it. He had destroyed ten targets all most completely before he felt any better. Thanks Robert. I needed this. I dont feel like Im going to explode any second, he said putting the gun down. I told you to trust me, said Robert pulling the head phones off. Luke, your not alone in this any more. I promise you. Nothing is going to hurt you or your family along as I am alive. I know Rob. I knew you would never let me down. Lets go home. I have had a long day. I think after ten years. I could really sleep, he said heading out the door. Chapter 11 Back to Lucky's Hell |
