Chapter Eleven � �Robot� Author�s Note: I thought I�d warn everyone. Lucky is not like anything on GH. This chapter he starts dealing with everything that has happened. Please tell me what you think and thanks for the ones who have. It keeps me writing. The Spencers have been free for a week now. Laura and Lucky�s first meeting went as smooth as his and Luke�s. Everyone is adjusting to their new lives, but for Lucky it�s a constant battle. Lucky woke up with a start. Jumping out of bed, he looked around wondering were he was. Laura entered the room with a tray of food. �Lucky? Are you all right?� she asked. He just backed up to the corner of the room with a wild stare on his face. Slowly the events of the past few days came back. �Mom?� he asked. Laura realized that he was confused and put down the tray. Walking over to her son, her voice in a low even tone. So that she would not frighten him any more. �Lucky. It�s all right. You�re safe. No one here is going to hurt you. Come one lets eat. You have to be hungry after sleeping almost all morning,� she said holding out her hand. �How long is this going to go on?� she wandered. Every morning it�s the same thing. He wakes up the same way. Lucky slowly raised his hand to hers. He let her lead him to the table where she placed the tray. Laura sat and watches him eat trying to think of a way to make him open up to her. She did not realize that Lucky was watching her until he said, �Mom? This isn�t a dream. Right?� �No. Lucky, you�re not dreaming. I�m real and so is your father.� she answered. The same question and answer everyday. Maybe this time he will believe it. �Come here,� she said hold open her arms. Lucky walked to her but stayed a few inches away. �Lucky, I am not going to hurt you. You do know that,� she said still holding her arms open. He just stood there for a long moment and then slowly crossed the other few inches to her. As Laura wrapped her arms around him, she could feel the tension in him. She sat him beside her on the bed and just held him. Hopping that would help ease the tension a little, but it didn�t. �Mom, What are we going to do today?� came his soft-spoken question. �Lucky! How about we go to the mall. Your father has transferred the money from our Swiss bank account. I think we all need new cloths. What do you say?� she said. �If that�s what you want.� came Lucky�s soft reply. �Well get dressed. Anna and Lake are waiting for us down stairs. I�ll meet you down stairs when you�re ready to go. OK,� she said getting up and grabbing the tray. �Coward.� she muttered walking out the door. Lucky got dressed and straightened the room before heading down. Luke was sitting at the bar in the kitchen reading the newspaper. When Lucky entered he called out, �Good morning sleepy head. About time you joined the living.� �Sorry, I did not mean to sleep that long,� came Lucky�s quite reply. Sitting down on the couch to wait for Laura. Luke could not help but see how large Lucky�s eye got. �Spencer, you moron. Watch what you say. He doesn't know when you�re joking.� He cursed to himself. �Lucky, you excited about going to the mall?� Luke asked. �Mom says we need new clothes,� came Lucky�s reply. Robert and Anna were watching from the office. They both quietly closed the door and just looked at each other. �That boy is a robot.� said Anna. �No emotion. Nothing! I haven�t seen any real emotion come from him sense he got here.� �Anna. He is scared and confused. He has been pulled away from the only life he�s ever known. Give him time to adjust to everything.� Robert said pulling her in his arms. �Luke, Stefan, and I are going down town while you, Alexis and Laura go shopping with the boys. Keep the guards close by all the times. Any sign of trouble and head back here right away.� he said kissing her lightly on the lips. �I know Robert. I was once a WSB agent just like you. I know what to do.� Anna said grabbing her purse off the desk and heading out of the office. Laura had just walked down stairs. �Are you sure Lu will be ok with Liz.� she asked. �Laura relax. Liz is a nice girl and a good friend of Lake�s. Besides there are guards everywhere and according to the WSB the Cassadines haven�t left the island. They haven�t even sent up smoke singles,� said Anna grabbing her keys. �Lake. You ready to go?� she asked yelled up stairs. �Coming.� he yelled running down the stairs. Alexis and Nikolas were soon to join them. When Lucky realized they were going he relaxed just a little. Stefan entered the kitchen with a cup of coffee in his hands. �Have fun.� he said as they walked out the door. Luke and Robert were the only ones who realized that Lucky was the last to leave. Quietly closing the door behind him. �Cassadine? What in God�s name did your family do to my kid?� asked Luke slamming the paper on the table. Stefan just looked at Luke in complete bewilderment. �Luke, I don�t know what your talking about?� �YOU DON�T?� yelled Luke. �That boy just walked in this room and out without any emotion on his face and you see not a #$%$% wrong. He has been this way for a week now.� suddenly Luke reached out to ring Stefan�s neck, but before he could Robert stepped between them. �Luke this isn�t going to do Lucky any good.� he said pushing him back on the stool. �Luke. Listen to me. Lucas�s world has been turned upside down. The rules have totally changed. He doesn't know how to act. On the island, he knew who to trust and not to trust. He had a set routine and followed it. Now its total kayos.� Stefan said putting the cup down. Stefan walked away giving Luke time to calm down. Went up stairs to get ready to leave. Luke had this major urge to stand up and bring the stool crashing down on Stefan�s head, but he knew the Count was right. He also knew underneath all that control was a volcano just ready to erupt.
