| Chapter Nine Two day�s later at rehearsals for the ball. Lucky and Liz were waiting for their partners for the number Lucy talked them into doing. Dara and Justice were going to do the number but they got a surprise when Dara arrived but not with Justice. Lucky looked at Taggert and said, �NO. I am not going on stage with him.� and started to walk out. Lucy arrived right then and stopped him. �Lucky, you promised. What�s wrong with Detective Taggert?� �That asshole arrest me for no reason a few days ago. I am not going onstage with him. What happen to Justice?� Lucky asked. �Justice broke his leg on a racket ball court and can�t do the number. Taggert is going to do the number in his place. I don�t have time to replace you. Please do this for me.� Lucy begged and looked at Lucky with best begging look. �Lucy don't do this to me. Katherine and her were running the show smoothly but with a killer after Lucy. Luke wasn�t taking any chances. He looked at his watch and wondered where the ladies were. Lucy appeared in dress very angry. �I don�t believe she switch dress on me. I bet she took my place on stage all ready.� Lucy said. �No. Who do what?� Luke asked. �Kitty Bell took my dress and gave me this thing.� Lucy said and went to the stage. Luke didn�t like this and went to find Katherine. The door was locked and he heard a low moan. Luke slammed his shoulder against the door and it gave way. Katherine Bell was lying on the ground trying to remove the dress. It was cutting off her breathing. Luke ripped the dress from her and was about to ask if she was all right. When Stefan shoved him from behind and started to pound on him. Luke and Stefan were going at it until Katherine finally got her breath back and yelled. �Stop it, both of you. Stefan, What in hell do you think your doing?� �He was going to rape you. I was just saving you.� Stefan said and swung at Luke again. �He was saving me. I took this dress from Lucy and it all most killed me. He had to rip it. I was choking.� Katherine said moving between them and grabbed her robe. �Thanks, Luke. You save my life.� �No problem.� Luke said and started to walk out but Stefan stopped him. �Spencer, I�m sorry for over reacting. I saw you on top of her and thought�� Stefan said. �Don�t worry about. I know what you thought and I might have too if the places were reverse.� Luke said and walked out. Stefan looked at the closed door and said, �I�m sorry Katherine. I overreacted but I know a few things about Luke you don�t.� �What things?� Katherine asked. �It don�t matter now. I�m just glad he saved you for me.� Stefan said and they kissed. Stefan realized Laura�s past should be buried with her and made this silent promise. �I�ll never tell anyone, Lasha.
