| Chapter Three Emily walked into the Qs mansion and found the others in the living room. Why is that gangsters car dropping you off, Edward yelled. Emily, You should have called. We were worried, Ned said. Shut up. I didnt call because I just spent my whole day watching Lucky Spencer crumble to pieces. He just learned that his mother, sister, and grandmother were killed. I asked if it was a trick but this time it is the truth. Not even Luke could fake this pain. They are gone and nothing is going to bring them back to life, Emily said and slid to her knees. Everyone just stared at her but didnt make a sound. Ned walked up to Em and helped her to the couch. What happen? he asked. An avalanche. They were killed yesterday in Switzerland. Valentine's Day. Ned, you should have seen him. Lucky wasnt moving or talking for long time but then he started rock back and forth. Saying over and over. No. They arent dead. Luke came in and picked him up and held him. He looked as bad as Lucky but at least he was functioning, Emily cried. Dear god, Edward. Call the house and see what they need and be nice. I hear one remark from your mouth and you will never leave the east wing, Lily said and wheeled out of the room. Tears were falling from her eyes. Monica and AJ joined Ned and Emily. They sat close together realizing how fast things change and quickly people leave you. ~~~~~~~~ Three days later Sonny had to make all the arrangements. Luke wasnt even thinking straight. Jason and Sonny took turns watching over the both of them. Bobbie, Amy, and Ruby did their part, as well. Lucky got better but didnt speak much to anyone. Luke and Lucky avoided the main bedroom and Lulus room. They were having trouble enough seeing them everywhere in the house. The day of the funeral was the worst. Luke and Lucky both had to be drugged up to get them through it. Sonny and Jason stayed close to them, to make sure nothing happen. In front of St. Johns Church laid three caskets two large and one small one. Everyone couldnt believe this was happening but they realized it wasnt a trick from the dead faces of Luke and Lucky. They didnt move or speak to anyone. Everyone thought that hell might erupt when Stefan, Katherine, and Nikolas arrived. Nikolas was stiff and unmoving but Stefan was worse. You didnt have to be a mind reader to know what Luke wanted. He didn't do anything to them, for Laura's memory. The service was quiet and short. They drove to the graveyard in silence, but when the three caskets were lowered into the ground, Luke and Lucky dropped to the ground and tried to stop them. Sonny and other men had to hold them back. Lucky and Luke both let out screams of anguish. No, stop this, they aren't dead, They cried. Stefan and Nikolas just stood stiff and unmoving. They didnt get any sympathetic looks from the group of mourners, because of it. How could two people watch a small white casket that Lulu lay in and not cry? They did and they left soon afterwards. Bobbie shook her head and went to help Lucky into the car. Sonny and Jason both had to hold up Luke. Father and son had to be forced to leave the graveyard. Three stones stood on a hill. Lulus was the worst to look at. It was an angel holding a little lamb. The words were simple but hopefully true. God takes the little Lambs himself Chapter 4 Go back to Goodbye Valentine |
