Chapter Two

Sonny stormed into the office and demanded, What in hell is going on here?

The Red Cross people handed him the notice and offered their help. Sonny glared
at them and chased them from the office. He picked up the phone and made some
calls. Sonny soon realized this wasnt a joke and looked at a white faced Lucky.
He got to his knees and said, Lucky. Im sorry. This isnt a trick and I
promise you if the Cassadines are behind it, they arent getting away with it.

Lucky let out a blood-curdling scream of pain and anger. Sonny held him as he
cried. Sonny knew what it was like to lose a mother but your sister and
grandmother to at the same time was a nightmare. He was dreading telling Luke
this information and he realized he needed help. Sonny helped a shaken Lucky to
his feet and started to walk him to the car. Emily and Lizzie came running up
and asked, Lucky, what is wrong?

Girls, can you help me get him into the car. I think Lucky is going to need his
friends. I will tell you everything in the car, Sonny said and realized Lucky
wasnt even blinking. He hoped the kid wasnt going into shock on him. Sonny
realized the first person he needed to call was Bobbie.

Sonny finally got Lucky into the limo and they drove back to the Spencer house.
He placed a call to Bobbie but didn't tell her what was going on. He did asked
her to make sure the rest of the Spencers meet him at Lukes house right away.
Sonny hung up and looked at the girls. Lucky was leaning against the window
crying but without making a sound. Girls, Laura, Lulu, and Leslie were killed
yesterday. Lucky is in shock and he needs to be watched until his family gets to
the house. I am going to leave Johnny with you. Lucky gets worse and I want you
to call an ambulance. I have to find Luke and tell him this before anyone else
does, Sonny said.

This is a game, isn't it? Like the last time? Emily asked.

No. Not this time. This is for real and forever, Sonny said fighting his own
tears.

Sonny helped them get Lucky into the house and then quickly left. He had to find
Luke and fast. Luke was a hard person to find and Sonny found him at the club
right before their scheduled meeting. Hey partner, you look like hell. What is
wrong? Luke said sitting his chair.

Luke, I don't know how to tell you this but straight out. I got a call today
from Lucky at school, Sonny started to say. Luke sat up straight and got a
strange feeling in his gut that he wasnt going to like this at all. Some Red
Cross people stopped by and told him that Laura, Lulu, and Leslie were killed in
an avalanche on Valentines Day. I checked it out partner, and it is the truth.

No. No. No. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, Luke yelled and started to destroy his
office. Sonny stood back and let him. Tears were streaming down his face and the
pain was ripping out his heart. Luke finally fell to his knees and looked up to
heaven. Not my angle. Not my heart and my sole. Sonny walked to his friend and
held him as he cried.

Luke, I know the pain. I lost my wife and unborn child right outside of this
club. You stood by me and I am going to stand by you. Lucky needs his father. He
is in shock and am I worried about him, Sonny said, tears forming in his own
eyes. Pictures of Laura and Lulu scattered on the floor of the office put the
reality to his heart. Sonny realized they were gone and not even he could bring
them back.

Sonny helped Luke to the limo and they went to the Spencer house. The place was
packed with worried friends and family. Lucky sat in the corner of the living
room, rocking back and forth. No. They arent gone, he was crying.

Luke ignored the others and went to his son. Luke helped him to his feet and
held him close. Cowboy, we will get through this together, Luke said and
father and son held onto each other for dear life. Letting go meant that they
were going to loose the other one and that would mean the end.

Bobbie grabbed Carly and held her close. The lies about the past meant nothing
because life could end any second and you should never have regrets. Bobbie
regretted the way she had treated Laura, because deep down, she realized that
Luke needed her. Jason held baby Michael and looked at his boss. Sonny nodded
his head and unspoken words were past between the two men. Lucky and Luke need
to be watched and Jason was going to make sure of it.

Lizzie, Sara, Sly, and Emily stood in the back ground and looked at their
friend. Emily and Sly knew his pain and wouldnt wish that on their worse enemy.
Sara and Lizzie held each other and prayed for the dead but mainly for Luke and
Lucky. They were going to need all the help they could get. Sonny looked at the
kids and said, I will have my driver take you home. I think Lucky needs to be
alone right now. The kids smiled sadly and they left without a word to the
adults.

Ruby and Amy held on to each other. Ruby got up to check the kitchen for
supplies. She wasnt that hungry but it gave her something to do besides sitting
around.

Sonny arrived and said, I will call for supplies. You just tell me what you
need.

Laura, Lulu, and Leslie alive but you cant do that can you. All the money in
the world will not give that man back his wife and daughter and that boy back
his mother, sister, and grandmother, will it? Ruby said tears falling down her
face.

No. I cant bring them back. I can make sure it was an accident and if not make
the people pay with their lives. We are going to have to be strong for them.
Luke and Lucky are going to need us more then ever, Sonny said.

They will have us and more. I know their friends and they arent alone, Ruby
said.

Emily asked if this was a trick. I wish it was, because then this would be over
in few days and everything would be back to normal, but it isnt and going back
isnt in the program, Sonny said.

Ruby walked up to the mob boss and held him. Sonny, It is all right. You did
everything possible and not even Luke could have seen this coming.

I know but it doesnt make it better, Sonny said.
