| Chapter Fifteen Lucky was lying in bed, drawing a picture of his room. He couldn't get up or move around for the next few weeks. He didn't mind, because the removal of the cast was what he dreaded. Stavros' words were always running through his mind and he tried to not think about what was in store for him, but it was hard. Nikolas walked into his brother's room and sat down in the chair. "How is my favorite little brother?" Nikolas asked. "Master Nikolas, I'm your only little brother and I'm fine," Lucky said, trying to cheer up. "You can drop the Master'. Helena and Stavros have left for the rest of the week. The staff is on vacation and that leaves just the Outsiders to take care of everything," Nikolas said, as Stefan and Alexis walked into the room. "Well, what do the Outsiders want to do? We have a week before the monsters return," Stefan said, as he knelt down beside the boys. "Can, I get out of this bed?" Lucky asked them. "Why not. I have movies, popcorn, and all the junk that goes with them. We are going to get fat and brain dead by the time they get back," Alexis said, and pulled the cover down from Lucky's legs. Stefan carried Lucky into Alexis' room and placed him on the couch. He covered him up and went to help Alexis gather the supplies. They both were hoping to get Lucky to forget about his upcoming punishment, at least for a little while. Nikolas was looking over the movies and found a new one lying on top of the table. He looked at it and asked, "Where did you get this?" he asked Alexis. "I bought it for you on one of my trips. I was going to give it to you for Christmas but I think we could watch it right now," Alexis said, and put the tape into the VCR. The boys watched as the movie Star Wars played on the big screen TV. Lucky couldn't take his eyes off of Han Solo. The character came alive to a young boy who always pictured his father as a rogue. Han's every movement and actions were recorded into his mind. Lucky found a way to keep Luke alive in heart and be safe about it. They watched other movies that day but nothing compared to Star Wars for Lucky. He ate the junk food and only half watched the other movies. He kept on drawing pictures of Han, the Falcon, and Laura. He fell asleep dreaming of Luke flying in and saving him from the real monster he lived with. Alexis looked at the drawings and showed them Stefan. "I was right. He saw what I thought he would. Han Solo gave him his father. Stefan, I just hope it was enough," she said, putting the pad down at the desk. "I do too. I hate hiding the things we do for him by saying it is for Nikolas. They should have their own dreams and memories. Lucas doesn't need to be second to anyone. I know it bothers both of them. I'm proud of my son and I can't tell him that or in those words," Stefan said, looking at the drawings. "Nikolas loves you and hates Stavros. You know that, but telling him the truth now will only cause trouble. Helena will not allow it but someday she might. Stavros is pushing his luck with her. I see it and you do too. We just have to be patient and wait," Alexis said. She started to laugh when she got a glance of Stavros dressed as a blown apart Storm Trooper. "He doesn't even think of him as a good Vader. I'm going to give this one to Luke. I think he will enjoy it," Alexis said pulling the picture out of the book. "Alexis. Do you like going to see them?" Stefan asked her. "No. I hate it, but what can we do? Luke would make Stavros angry and that might get him killed. He is Lucky's only hope. We might just have to find away to help him," Alexis said softly, looking back at the sleeping boys. "You're right." Stefan said and got up to go to his room. "Good night, Lexie," Alexis looked at him in shock. He hadn't called her by that name in years. "Stefan, I wish we could change all of this, but what would Lucky really think of us, raised by his father?" she wondered and headed to her bed. Chapter 16 Return to Cassadine Revenge |
