| Chapter Sixteen (Warning, this is going to be hard) Lucky sat on the edge of his bed and looked at the clock for the hundredth time. The cast had been off for a week, and he was moving around all right. Stavros had picked Thanksgiving to be the day he was publicly punished. Lucky's stomach was in knots and he hadn't eaten anything all day. Stefan and the others had tired all they could to get Stavros to change his mind but failed. Stefan even begged his mother to get involved but she just walked away. Lucky had been ordered to come the living room at Six that night. He had avoided everyone all day and now it was time to face the whole house. Lucky walked to Stavros' room and grabbed the belt that he was told to get and went to the library. Lucky entered the room and found the entire staff and family members standing around waiting for his arrival. Nikolas told him to look only at him. He was going to stand right in the center of the room beside his father only to give Lucky something to look at. Nikolas was holding a small stone and was playing with it. Lucky realized Nikolas was scared as he was and felt a little better. Lucky walked up to Stavros and handed him the belt. He couldn't move or think after that point. He didn't know what Stavros was planning, but nothing came close to what happened. Stavros grabbed Lucky by the neck and guided him to a device that looked a lot like a medieval rack. Lucky could barely move and had to be pulled along. Stavros had ordered Ari and the head groom to tie Lucky to the device. Alexis turned her head away. She couldn't look and really didn't want be there. Stefan looked at his brother with complete hatred in his eyes. "How could they do this to him?" both of them thought. Stefan had pulled Alexis close to him and held her as the belt repeatedly hit Lucky. Lucky didn't scream or cry once. He never took his eyes off of Nikolas, who reached down and grabbed his brother's hand when the beating had begun. Stefan looked at his mother and with tears in his eyes whispered, "Stop him." Helena knew he was right and reached up and grabbed the belt. "Enough. You proved your point. Everyone out. Stefan take care of Lucas," she ordered and quickly left the room. She leaned against her door and took a deep breath. Helena jumped when a voice rang out. "You are weak," Methos said. She jumped when she heard his voice. Helena turned and found Mikkos twin brother standing in the center of the room glaring at her. Helena forgot how many times she wished Luke had killed Methos and not Mikkos. She might have never loved Mikkos but she hated his twin with all her heart and dreamed of the day he was dead. Only when he was dead could the Cassadine family really and truly be free. "I'm not weak but beating that boy isn't going to get what we want. Lucas didn't deserve that and you know it. You only did it because what day it is," Helena said, and poured herself a drink. "You mean that it is Michael's birthday. You're right. I ordered it because of that and you ruined my fun. I wanted to hear the boy scream," Methos said coldly. "He hasn't screamed or begged in years. Stavros hasn't gotten him to break yet. He shuts down and doesn't move for weeks. You know that. I stopped it because we need him alive and Stavros would have killed him," Helena said, as she sat down in the chair. "You don't fool me. You stop it because you love Michael. I know you Helena. You even wish Luke killed me, not Mikkos. I'm the one you hate but that doesn't matter. I'm going to get what I want and you can't stop me. Luke is very fun to watch and his wife is very good looking. Your son, Stefan is weak, just like all of Michael's children," Methos said, and sat down beside her. "Methos. You are a fool. Luke isn't weak and neither is Stefan. He is stronger than any child you could have had, but that's right, your dear daddy took that right from you and your brothers. He knew Michael was a better man than any of you. I'm only this because you have power but don't count Luke out. He might end up on top, yet," Helena said, with an evil smile. Methos got up and slapped her across the face. "You shut up. I'm in charge of this family and don't you forget it." Methos left the room and left her sitting with her hand on her face. "I'm sorry, Stavros, but Methos is going to be in a bad mood today. You are going to regret beating Lucky like you did. I just made sure of it." Chapter 17 Return to Cassadine Revenge |
