| Chapter Twelve Lucky ran up to his room and flung across the bed. He could believe how dumb he could have been. Stavros was never going to love him let alone tolerate him. Lucky pulled a smaller painting from under the bed. It was him, Nikolas and Smokey. The card was plainer but carried a lot of love. He was hopping Stefan could get it to Luke somehow. He just hopped that Stavros didn�t get to it first or things could get worse. Lucky quickly tucked the painting back under the bed when he heard someone enter the room. He looked up and found Stefan walking into the room. �Are you all right?� Stefan asked sitting down on the bed. �Yes, I was trying but he didn�t care about it. I spent weeks painting it and he burnt it.� Lucky said. �I know and my brother is an idiot. He doesn't know what he is missing. You are a good painter and I love your drawings. When I came in you were looking at something. What was it?� Asked Stefan sitting down beside Lucky. Lucky reached under the bed and pulled out the painting. He handed it over to Stefan. �I was wondering if you can find a way for dad to get it. I didn�t make it too big because of his situation, but I hope he will like it.� Lucky said. Stefan read the card and smiled. �He will love it and I promise to give it to him. I will even have him write you something, but this to be kept quiet.� Stefan said getting up and heading out of the door. Lucky couldn�t speak. He was going to find out what his father really thought of the painting. He smiled and winked at Stefan. Stefan winked back and headed out of the room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stefan took a special trip to the island and even took Nikolas with him. He covered the meeting to give Luke his present from Lucky. Nikolas learned everything about Luke and Laura in the plane. �Nikolas. You can�t tell Lucas the truth. He would get hurt even more if he knew and Luke & Laura. I know it is hard but you most not let on. OK?� Stefan asked the boy. �Uncle, Why are they doing this? Lucas didn�t do anything to them and neither did my mother. I have heard stories about Mikkos and he wasn�t a nice man. So, Why would they hurt Luke, too?� Nikolas asked. �Revenge. I don�t know any other answer. Mother and your father are evil. They love to make people hurt and Luke and his family are their targets. All we can do is look after Lucas for them until things change. Your mother hasn�t asked about you but it is because she is afraid of the answer. Loosing, Lucas and being told that he will end up hating her. She doesn't want the answer to what you think of her. It would have killed her. I know this because she was my friend on the island and I have learned to read her very well. Don�t worry about Luke, either. He isn�t as bad as everyone says.� Stefan said. �I know. My mom wouldn�t have married him if he weren�t a good person. I don�t blame her for leaving my father and me.
