| Chapter Five Luke guided Lucky to a chair then asked. What did that witch want? I dont know. You came out before much was said. Lucky answered slowly. Whats wrong, Cowboy? Luke asked him. Dad, I hate feeling helpless. She could have killed me and I couldnt have stopped her. I walk around here like Im lost in the woods. My world has shut down, and I hate it. Lucky said. Cowboy, your mother and I have agreed to let some lady from the hospital come and help you learn to deal with this. Only until you get your sight back. Im not giving up on that, not by a long shot. Luke said, still not convinced this was the right move. What she going to teach me? Lucky asked sarcastically. I dont know but if you want her gone. She's gone. Luke answered. All right, Ill try anything once because this is getting ridiculous. Lucky said. After lunch Luke went to the Club, he had appointment with someone who might become the new manager. He wanted to stay as close to Lucky as possible and today told him he was right. Helena would jump at the chance to pounce on him. Luke was trying to think of the guys name. He was still thinking when the man arrived. Luke stood from his chair to great the man. Andrew, Im sorry your last name has escaped me. Luke said sitting back down. Andrew Thomas. Mr. Spencer I heard a lot about you and your club. Some very strange things happen around here. Andrew said with a polite smile. I see that it hasnt scared you off. I read your resume and you checked out with my partner. So, if you want the job it's yours. I will check often and any trouble youll have my number. Luke said. He slowly started to run through the workings of the club and what Andrews responsibilities were. Something about this man wasnt quite right to Luke. He just couldnt put his finger right on them.
