| Chapter Twenty Seven "What do you have in mind?" Stefan asked Luke. "I plan on putting your dear mother in jail for murder and attempted murder. She will not see the light of day and if we are lucky, she might get nice lethal ejection," Luke said with a cold smile. "I'm in," Stefan said and held out his hand to Luke. While they shook on it, Alexis walked up and said, "You can count on me. The old bat deserves everything she has coming to her and if we get a vote on how she dies, I say the electric chair but I want to pull the switch," Alexis joined the two of them. Luke told Alexis and Stefan to meet them at his house at ten that night. Helena was going to be kept busy and she wouldn't be a problem. Luke left the house and went to finish making plans on Helena's down fall. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mrs. Cassadine was having too many problems of her own to worry about what was coming. She sat in a rat infested, roach haven of a motel. Ari dumped her and found employment elsewhere. She was planning on ending his life after she got back on her feet. She was trying to get in touch with some old family friends to help get her finances straightened out, but they didn't even return her calls. "The help must have forgotten to give them my messages. No one ignores me," Helena thought without a doubt in her mind. Helena looked at the waitress uniform on the bed and snarled. "I'll get you Luke, if it's the last thing I do," she said to herself and got up to get dressed. "At least no one knows me in the area." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Laura didn't feel like cooking and she heard of a new diner that had just opened up across town. Luke took all of his guests and his family to dinner to celebrate. Peter and V had arrived just before they left. He had great news to tell the Spencers and the case was just about to be wrapped up. They found a trace of poison in Katherine Bell's brain cells. She died from the poisoning, not the fall and they even found paper work pointing to Helena for the purchase of the same type of poison. Kermit had enough of a paper tail to point the finger at Helena for the train derailment that had left Lucky blind. Luke was happy that in a few days, Mrs. Cassadine would be behind bars and on her way to the death that she deserved. The Spencers arrived at the diner and sat in the far side of the room. Luke was looking through the menu and as the waitress came up to get there order, She didn't look at the people at the table but they both got the surprise of a life time. "May I take your order?" Helena Cassadine asked. Luke looked up and smiled a devious smile at the sight of his old enemy in a waitress uniform. "Hi, sweetheart. My have the mighty have fallen," Luke said puffing on his cigar. Laura and the other tried to hide their laughter but it was hard. Lucky had to turn his face to keep from laughing. He would have given anything to see the look on Helena's face right at that moment. Lucky would have loved it. Helena had turned comply red and was speechless for the very first time in her life. Luke was smiling at her and she would have loved to wipe it off his face but because of the witnesses, Helena had to swallow her pride. "Can I help you?" she said through her teeth. "I don't need your kind of help but you can take our order," Luke told her. They all ordered and Helena stormed off to the kitchen to get the food. As soon as she was gone, Laura started to laugh and suddenly the whole table was laughing. "Luke. I never thought I would see the day that Helena Cassadine waited on me," Laura told him. "Angel, I just got my Christmas present for the rest of my life. The look on that old bat's face was priceless," Luke said and started to laugh some more. "I wish I could have seen it, but the sound of her voice wasn't happy," Lucky said laughing himself. "Kermit, I owe you one. Anything and you got it," Luke said to his old friend. "I have been thinking of relocating. Can you pull some strings and arrange it. I think this police department needs real detectives," Kermit said with a smile on his own face. The dinner was served and Helena didn't stick around long enough to ask if they wanted anything else. Laura took care of the tip but not what Helena expected. She told her where to get a good pair of shoes to help with varicose veins. The group left the diner laughing all the way. Helena was steaming, and she swore they were going to pay for this one if it took everything she had left. Chapter 28 Back to Angels Lend A Helping Hand index |
