Chapter Thirteen

Authors Note: This is the only really bad thing that happens to Lucky. I
promise. I just needed away to get Luke to open his eyes and start helping Lucky
deal with the problem.

Luke suddenly appeared in his living room he turned around in circles in shock.
He was still trying to get things straighten out when Andrew appeared beside
him. Where in hell are we? Luke yelled.

Dont use that word please, Mr. Spencer. I promise this isnt hell. Im just
going to show you what could happen if things dont change for Lucky. Andrew
said.

The Spencer house was dark and a lone figure walked in through the kitchen.
Foster jumped up from his rug but before he could do anything the figure shot
him with a silencer. He stood and waited. Luke was trying everything to grab the
man but every time he did, his arms hit nothing. He looked at Andrew with
disgust on his face. Whats this all about? He demanded. Andrew just pointed
to the stairs were Lucky was coming down. He didnt have his cane and acted as
if he was lost. Mom? Dad? Is that you? Lucky yelled in the dark.

The intruder just waited until Lucky got down the stairs and into the living
room. He watched with a smug smile on his face as Lucky fell over Foster. Luke
was trying everything to stop or warn Lucky of the danger but it was useless.
Lucky tripped over Foster's dead body and landed at the killer's feet. Foster,
why are you just laying there? Lucky asked him groping toward his pet. His hand
touched the bleeding wounded. He froze in his tracks. Foster? Get up boy.
Lucky said shaking him.

What a pitiful sight. the killer said. Helena was right. You are a waste of
human life. Here kid, Ill do you a favor and put you out of misery. The killer
lowered his gun to Luckys head. Lucky didnt even have a chance to speak before
the bullet killed him.

NO. Luke yelled and jumped at the man. He fell right through the killer and
landed on the other side. Luke was going to try again but the light flashed and
he was back at the club.

Do you need to see more or you ready to listen to what I have to say? Andrew
said to him, taking a seat at the bar.

I believe you, but why my kid? Luke asked him. If God is mad at me then let
him take it out on me and not Lucky.

God doesnt work that way. He forgives everyone for their mistakes and
misgivings. Humans are the ones who keep score, Luke, not God. Andrew said.

Then why is he blind? Luke demanded.

God has special plans for Lucky, but what you have to do is show your son how
to survive in your world or he will never get the chance to do what is needed.
Andrew said.

How do I do that? Luke asked.

Go through your list of friends. You have to know someone who might help or
they might know someone. Andrew told him.

Ill do it. Luke said. Do you have any one in mind?

Kermit. Andrew said.
