-About Us

From the beginning in 1946 at Rolph Road School where the LBA was started through the efforts of Phil Stein, Howard Talbot, Trace Manes and others to the present, thousands of youngsters have had the chance to play the great summer game in Leaside.

There is much of which to be proud. Over the years Leaside teams have won 43 Toronto and 18 Ontario Championships. While other Junior leagues folded, the Toronto Leaside Junior League continued to flourish and is today considered the best in the province. Our association brought Senior baseball back to Toronto in 1968 and ever since the Leaside Leafs have been a consistently successful team.

First and foremost, however, has always been the wish to provide opportunity for kids in our community to play organized baseball in a safe, effectively managed program. Our motto continues to be, "Help us help kids to play ball."
