Attacking
Attacking is how you inflict damage on your opponent or his or her creatures. See the "Creatures" section on
the different types of cards
page for more information.
Blocking
Blocking is when a creature prevents an opponents creature for inflicting damage on his or her self. Lets say a 3 power, 4 toughness creature, a 3/4 attacks a 1/2 creature, the defending creature goes to the graveyard, but the attacking creature still does not inflict any damage on the defending player. If the attacking creature is a 1/1 and the defending creature is a 2/2, the attacking creature goes to the graveyard and the defending creature stays in play.
