When you use the verb ΕΧΩ (and any other verb) don't use the personal pronouns (I, you, she, he, it, they). The endings of the verb reflect the person.
CORRECT:
Έχω ένα βιβλίο.
I have a book.
WRONG:
Εγώ έχω ένα βιβλίο.
I have a book.
