We had until 6 till my friends were home from work, so we spent the day hiking around Mt. Ranier. We finally saw a glacier close up, even if it wasn't in Glacier Park! |

Seattle was lots of fun - besides hanging out with Erin and Mike, we went into the heart of this mellow city, run mostly on coffee. We spent the day watching IMAXes, wandering the Seattle Aquarium and we also admired the Space Needle from a distance. |

After Seattle and a flat tire in the middle of Washington, we made it to Mt. St. Helen's, the volcano that erupted in the 80's leaving miles of devestation around it. |

Oregon was our first experience with the Pacific. We stopped at a few scenic pulloffs to admire the view, and the fact that we crossed the country to a different ocean. |

Portland was a quaint city, nicely landscaped, with plenty of good microbrewerys. |
