Leafy Wonder: Biography

Leafy Wonder is the illustrator Andrew Foley. A native Glaswegian, he works from a rustic studio setting in the city's east end. Here he works on a series of commissions and self generated projects and artwork.

His talents have been employed by many arbiters of taste and sophistication including Time magazine. The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Scotland on Sunday, The Glasgow Herald, The Scotland on Sunday, Oxford University Press and Heinemann publishing amongst many others in advertising and print. Commissions have come from as far afield as Japan and the U.S.A.

His work is influenced by a long line of fine book illustration along with the wicked fun of caricature and comic books.

His own style falls somewhere between the two. He continues to make and exhibit his own work which displays similar strands of colour and humour, an enjoyment of making work is a big motivation.

He is a dog lover who needs music daily and who likes to get out and about a bit.
