| A Word from Sophie Subject: American Idol I've seen a lot of discussion on the web lately about who is better: Katharine McPhee or Taylor Hicks. Though discussion is good, it's getting out of hand. People are saying really nasty things and frankly I think it's stupid. If we could give this much attention to things that matter most, such as world hunger, this world would be a lot better. Anyway, since everyone else seems to have done so, I'm going to give my two cents worth. You can't compare Katharine and Taylor. They have two completely different styles. It's like comparing sugar and salt. Yes, they are different, and while someone may prefer one over the other, each is still useful in its own right. That's what it's like with Katharine and Taylor. Do you follow me? Because they are so different, you can't truthfully say one is better than the other. They do different things. And while some may prefer Katharine's style to Taylor's, or Taylor's style to Katharine's, it is still possible to appreciate both because they are both excellent at what they do, even though they do it differently. |
