Luna Eclipse's Asian Sky

Japanese metal band. Derivative of Loudness and Earthshaker .Minoru Niihara (vo; ex-Loudness), Munetaka Higuchi(dr; ex-Loudness),Shinichiro Ishihara(g; ex-Earthshaker) and Koichi Terasawa(b; ex-Blizzar (i'm not sure -Luna)) Formed when Higuchi-san leaved Loudness.

My Opinion

This is very cool band!! Their sound is hard and heavy. It's Heavy Metal!!! I found this band when metal had die slowly in mid 90's. Their first album with self-title, "SLY", make me alive again (after lost in the haze of visual rock for a few year). The song " Silent Thunder" is the best one from this album, check it out!! In their 2nd album, "Dream of the Dust", they became more heavy. Niihara-san 's voice is good enough to fight with Ishihara-san's fire fretwork, plus the big backbone of Higuchi-san and Terasawa-san. "Dream of the Dust-Live" is really cool too!! In this VDO you will seen them at Concrete Foundation Live ( sorry i can't remember what that called but "Guitar World "readers will know ^^;- Luna) And the 3rd album, "Key", they became more progressive but reduce a little heaviness.

Anyway, this band is in my top ranking japanese band but I haven't heard about them for a long time since they have release "Key". I still wish that they 've release new album but I don't know. ^^;
