Loudness is the most awesome band from Japan. Formed by Akira Takasaki(g) and Munetaka Higuchi(dr), both ex-Lazy.

The frist lineup (classic lineup) is Akira Takasaki (g), Munetaka Higuchi(dr), Minoru Niihara(vo) and Masayoshi Yamashita(b). They've release their first album, "Birthday Eve", in 1981. And followed by three japanese albums. At that time, they are well-known among both european and american metal fans. In 1985, their first US album, Thunder in the East, was released. Minoru leaved the band in late 1998.

Second lineup is Akira Takasaki (g), Munetaka Higuchi(dr), Mike Vescera(vo, ex-Obsession) and Masayoshi Yamashita(b). First album from this lineup is Soldier of Fortune, 1989. July 1992, Mike Vescera leaved the band during "On the Prowl" tour in New York.

Third lineup is Akira Takasaki (g), Munetaka Higuchi(dr), Masaki Yamada(vo, ex-E.Z.O.) and Taiji Sawada(b, ex-X-Japan, he's the temporary bassist. He work on this album just for help Akira-san.At that time he own the band named Dirty Thrash Road or DTR too-Luna). Then release the self-title album "Loudness", the heaviest album. (It's one of my most favorite album too-Luna). After this album, Munetaka Higuchi leaved the band. Then joined SLY later (with his old friend, Niihara-san and Ishihara-san(ex-Earthshaker) -Luna)

Current lineup is Akira Takasaki (g), Masaki Yamada(vo), Hirosugu Honma(dr, ex-E.Z.O.) and Naoto Shibata(b, ex-Anthem). With this lineup, they've change their style to garage, grundge and etc...(I hate it!!-Luna) " Heavy Metal Hippies" is their first change style.
