~The Godly Homemaker: A Discussion Based on Proverbs 31:10-31~
Lemuel's mother, the Queen, gave instructions to her son on a woman who is strong, faithful, industrious, confident and virtuous. The first LDSMOMS group devotional is based on this godly woman and her role as homemaker, wife and mother. Articles, links and discussion questions are given below to help us as we go through the devotional.

Quotes from Church Leaders
I see heaven as the projection of the ideal home into eternity."
To a Latter-day Saint woman, the word homemaking has great significance, since every task performed in her home, whether she lives alone or with others in her family, is done in the framework of eternity, and this demands the best we have to offer. Homemaking includes the warm family relationships, and it also includes the constant concern of every provident homemaker, ancient or modern, for feeding, clothing, and caring for that family.
Men and women are of equal value before God and must be equally valuable in the eyes of each other.
God bless the women, the wonderful women of every time and age and place, who establish first in their lives their Lord, his work and their families.
I do know there are three areas or realms in which women's influence should always be felt: home building, teaching and compassionate service.
She who is worthy of the title of lady adorns her mind with the rich things of the kingdom of God; she is modest in her attire and manners; she is prudent, discreet and faithful, and full of all goodness, charity, love and kindness, with the love of God in her heart.
There are people who are fond of saying that women are the weaker vessels. I don't believe it. Physically, they may be; but spiritually, morally, religiously and in faith, what man can match a woman who is really convinced?
The righteous woman...has been placed here to help to enrich, to protect, and to guard the home---which is society's basic and most noble institution.
Remember, my dear friends, that [as a homemaker] you are now doing the work that God intended you to do. What a challenge, what a blessing!
Hopefully, the information presented here will continue to be helpful even after the conclusion of the group devotional on this specific topic. New items will be added through the end of November 2001. May we all be inspired as we lead more Christ-centered homes.
