Little Miss Dollikin

1970's
Little Miss Dollikin was made by Uneeda Doll Company, and is slightly larger than the "standard" miniature fashion doll, standing about 7 inches tall. Little Miss Dollikin has ten points of articulation: head, shoulders, elbows, waist, hips and knees. This allows her to pose in almost as many positions as a human can. She is a strung doll, meaning her parts are held together internally with elastic bands or strings. The knees and elbows have external pin-joints. She has rooted hair, but painted facial features with no rooted eyelashes.

Little Miss Dollikin is a smaller version of the 12" Dollikins, who were in turn smaller cousins of the larger Dollikins made in the 1950's. In the early 1970's, Uneeda arranged licensing the doll to be sold through Woolworth's Department stores under the name of "Triki Miki". They are virtually identical dolls with one minor exception. Little Miss Dollikins (or LMD's) had hair only down to her waist. Triki Miki's hair reached down past her buttocks. Both dolls, however, are marked on their backs, "Little Miss Dollikin", some patent information, and "Made in Hong Kong". They may also be marked "(c) Uneeda" and a date on the backs of their heads.

LMD's and Triki Miki's were sold as blondes, brunettes and redheads, and some rarer African-American dolls. There was a line of fashions made for the dolls, which tend to be a bit large on a Topper Dawn doll.
Both Little Miss Dollikin and Triki Miki were sold in one-piece jumpsuits with shoes that are too small to fit Topper Dawn.

The jumpsuits come in a variety of colors and patterns, but the most commonly seen is the orange flowered suit with the green lycra sash. Jumpsuits with an hourglass pattern are harder to find.
