03rd - Distribution of Red Packet to 500 elderly, this is a joint project with Tua Peh Kong Temple. A lunch reception was also held at Loyang Tua Peh Kong Temple, 32G Loyang.

16th - A joint project on the distribution of red packet to 160 elderly from the Lions Befriendees, together with Joo Chiat SCEC and Siglap South CC SCEC at Joo Chiat CC Hall. Foods and refreshments was provided by LCS East Coast, goody bags and red packets sponsored by Siglap South CC SCEC. A Cultural show performance by Joo Chiat CC

A target of 1000 donors was achieved overwhelmingly. The event was held at Joo Chiat CC Hall from 30th to 31st over 2 days.

17th - Club President Appreciation Night for members was held at Riverview Hotel.

18th - Mother's Day Celebration jointly with Siglap South CC Senior Citizen Club. The event was held at Siglap South CC Hall.

23rd - Lions Club of Singapore East Coast had its first Club Extension in year 2002, our new Club extension is the Lions Club of Singapore Joo Chiat. A Charter Night dinner was held on 23rd June 2002 to officiate the occasion.

21st - National Day Lunch for the elderly at Haig Girl School for 500 elderly.  This is a joint project with Joo Chiat CC YEC, Siglap South CC YEC, Siglap South CC WEC, Joo Chiat CC WEC, Siglap South CC SCEC and Haig Girls' School

9th to 12th - Visit to sister club, LCS Thailand, Bangkok Pomprab.  7 Clubs members led by Club President, Irene Ong,  visited our sister Club in Bangkok

12th - World Lions Service Day. The above was held at Joo Chiat CC from 0830am to 1pm.  The Project is Traditional Chinese Medicine Consultation.

25th - Lions Carnival at Futsing Building, funds raising activities in aid of the Lions Home for the Elderly.  Cost for foods items sold underwritten by Club Project Funds.

21st - Buffet Luncheon for 300 elderly, jointly organized with Joo Chiat SCEC. Transportation cost underwritten by Singapore East Coast.  The event was held at Joo Chiat CC Hall.  40 Befriendees from Buona Vista Lions Befrienders Service Association was invited to the luncheon

21st - Haig Girl Primary School Food & Fun Fair, funds raising event for our Club Project Funds, our Club provided 1 game stalls and 1 ice-cream stall.

4th - Singapore East Coast 5th Anniversary Celebration held @ Orient Ocean Restaurant @ Havelock Road

20th - Senior Citizen Week held @ Joo Chiat CC for 120 elderly, joint projects with grassroots organizations.  Transportation cost underwritten by Club.  Befriendees from LBSA BV was invited to the luncheon

03rd - Christmas Shopping Trip for needy children jointly with LCS Goldhill & LCS Sommerville at John Little Specialist Centre, Orchard.

06th - Twinning with Lions Club of Bangkok, Pomprab, District 310D Thailand at Imperial Queen's Park Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

29th - Year-end Buffet Hi-Tea for the Elderly - buffet reception and distribution of goodies bag to elderly. A community service project jointly with Kaki Bukit CC WEC. 100 goodies bags was sponsored by LCS East Coast and Buffet/refreshments by Kaki Bukit CC WEC. The event was held at Block 544 Bedok North Street 3.

15th - Christmas shopping trip for needy children jointly with LCS Goldhill & LCS Sommerville at John Little Specialist Centre, Orchard.

15th - Lions Befrienders Social Service Centre (Sembawang).  Proceed from sale of foods was donated to Lions Befriendees, cost underwritten by Club. Event was held at Block 6, Marsiling Drive.
