Last year, I posted most of the
photos at the checkpoints.
This year, we took photos of all the checkpoint banners,
as well as other interesting ones, and I'll show you the latter ones.
Start
10:00am, and the weather was fine.
Albatross, team no. 232, from left to right was:
Ada Poon, Lai Chi Lun, ,
Janet Tin
The guest of the starting ceremony
was Ms. Sang Lan, who was paralysed from the waist down
after crushing her spine during a practice vault in 1998.
The appearance of her was encouraging, as she is still positive towards life
and sports.
Do you know what does Monky Hill
look like? Here it is!
Stage 1
We set off quite fast. We
met 拦 sir at the start.
He walked with us and act as our photographer untill CP2
Friends of Team 245, taken at West
Dam.
On the way up Sai Wan Shan.
Special thanks to Karl
Lung who took this photo for us.
It was still very hot on the way
up Sai Wan Shan.
As it was very dry that day, we were eating dust for most of the stages.
CP1, Team 168, my teachers of PolyU
Stage 2
The heat of the sun was gone, and
it was easier.
and Ada was caught by the Oxfam official photographer,
and that photo was put on the Trailwalker
web.
Stage 3
Still walking fast, faster than what we did on training.
Sunset taken at Kai Kung Shan
" And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking..."
When going down hill, the tendon
of my left tibialis anterior started aching.
We met our support team at CP3, changing our clothes, filling our stomach,
stretching,
and most important, applying pain relieving rub, so that I can carry on easier,
but I've lost some of the shock absorbing ability anyway.
CP3, a new way to "wear" our team
shirt!
