Putting it all Together
You have now gathered lots of information, answered some pretty tough questions, and thought about the task at hand.  Now, the time has come to make up your mind.  As the director and final authority, you must choose one scene to cut, and one to keep.  Please write an essay (4-5 pages, typed) that will convince readers you are making the right choice.  Many people may see your choice as controversial, but you will be ready to persuade them through your writing.
Once you have finished your essay, you have only one part of the Macbeth webquest project to complete!

Before beginning the formal letter, I would like for you to take a moment and think about who you are writing to and what kind of director you are.  Is this person's reaction important to you?  Are you annoyed that you have to defend your artistic decisions to them?  Your letter should be very polite and formal in style.  The letter should be no more than 1 typed page.  It is important to be precise, professional, and for your letter to reflect your view and the expertise you have acquired through your research.
