Meet The Bridge’s New Webmaster; Visit Our Website

Candy Andrews

Webmaster

My name is Candy Andrews, and I am the Bridge’s new webmaster.  I have been a student at Lewis and Clark Community College off and on for the last twenty-plus years.  I am a graduate of Alton High School and enrolled here at LCCC as soon as I graduated, taking a variety of classes.  In 1986, I enrolled in the Dental Assisting program and received my certificate in 1987.  During that time I was very activ3e in campus activities and was vice president of the Activity Board for a semester.  I returned in the mid-90’s and became a part-time student working on my Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education while working full-time.  I received that degree in 1997.  Since that time I have gotten married and had two children I live in Alton with my family.  I returned to school this past fall, and I am now working toward a degree in Web Design.  I was asked by the Bridge to join their staff and to take over designing their web site, www.geocities.com/lccc_thebridge.

As the new web master for The Bridge web site I would like to see the site become more accessible to students.  A place where students can go to see not only the stories that were printed in the paper but stories that did not make it into the published edition because of lack of space, to find information on current student activities, and to find listings of current and upcoming concerts, shows and cultural events.  I think the web site will be a great resource for students to keep in touch with what is going on here at LCCC.  Keep watching the web site for changes that I hope will make the site easier to use, and more informative.
