Upcoming events in 2008 Dear LCCA members and friends, LCCA Executive members have met and planned out the followings: 1. LCCA would like to express our sincere support and human compassion to the survivors from the recent big earthquake in China . The Executive Officers have decided to donate $200 to the International Red Cross China Earthquake Fund. As LCCA members you will be very proud that a small percent of your membership fees have contributed to this worthy cause. 2. LCCA Senior Club will resume its monthly meeting starting in July, we will announce the meeting time and date when facility reservation has been confirmed. LCCA will charge a small fee to non-members to cover the food, drink supply 3. A summer potluck party has been scheduled on July 12 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Shelter #2, Holmes Lake. Many activities have also been planned out for your enjoyment. Although it is a potluck, LCCA always order extra food from local restaurants in addition to our food supply. LCCA will charge non-members a fee for any future events that provide food, drink, supplies, etc. to cover some extra cost. 4. A Mid-Autumn Moon festival event in October has also been planned out. 5. LCCA is calling for volunteers to serve for next two-year term, please let us know if you are interested. The only qualification is that you must be a member and has a passion for public service. You can nominate someone as well. 6. If you are not a member yet, please join LCCA to become a member soon. LCCA is your community organization and we work for you! |
