| After breakfast we loaded up and were destined to Yalong Bay. It seemed as though everyone knew each other by name now (except me) and were loosened up enough for a real party tour. The landscape had changed quite a bit, we were in a lower elevation and closer to the ocean. There were many rice patties, coffee plantations, mango and papaya farms, etc. Later we arrived at a Miao village, did the usual tourist thing and also watched some ethnic dancing. The dancers were great, six of them would hold the ends of bamboo poles and bang them together almost as fast as the dancers could put their feet, hands, and body between them. They were real acrobats. The show lasted about half an hour, it was really awesome. |
