Chapter Seven
A month and a half had past with Xenta still undecided about what to tell Vegeta. Jescele and Godog spent much of their time together. Everything was calm and normal, well as normal as it ever could be for them.
Xenta lay on her bed in mock pain waiting for Jescele and Piccolo. Jescele was the first to come in.
Hey Xenta youve dropped off radar for the past three days, Jescele smiled but Xenta just lay there.
Um Xenta you ok? Trilla talk to me, Jescele said but still no answer. She sat down on the bed and waited for an answer.
Its not the baby is it, Jescele asked in a whisper. Xenta didnt say anything but an idea stuck in her mind.
What if I tell her I lost the baby? Miscarriage, then I wouldnt have to tell Vegeta and Ill have bought some time. Xenta looked up at Jescele with a solemn face.
Xenta whats wrong, Jescele asked very worried, come on tell me.
I lost it, Xenta whispered closing her eyes in pain letting fake tears fall, the babys gone.
What do you mean gone, Jescele asked.
As in no longer here, Xenta swallowed hard, dead. Well lets see if she buys it.
You mean youre no longer Jescele couldnt finish. Xenta shock her head in agreement.
Oh Im so sorry, Jescele hugged her friend
Im taking some time off, Xenta said, I need to clear my head. Please dont day anything to anyone. I dont think I could take it.
Alright, Jescele agreed, when are you leaving?
Tonight, Xenta said, thats why I need to talk to Piccolo. Tell him Im going to be gone awhile.
Ill go get him, Jescele said, and Im really sorry. Xenta wiped her eyes and watcher her best friend exit in sadness. Pity! How I hate it.
Why pity me? Because I lied and told you I lost the child I never wanted? Im dumping it as soon as its born. I cant be boggled down by a child and Vegeta wouldnt want it even if he knew.
What do you want Xenta, Piccolo asked entering her room.
Shut the door, she directed. He obliged then moved to stand in front of it.
What do you want, he asked again.
Im going away for awhile, she told him, Ill be spending the next few months away from Ah so our mission will be put on hold.
What, he growled, youre just going to let a murderer wonder around free while you take a break.

My so called break is more forced then of free will, Xenta glanced at him, Big T wants me to take a break because of some pressing issues. If you want Im be spending the first part of my time off with Ice then Im going out on my own, Xenta waited for his response.
Ill meet you there, he said, They cant know the truth about us. Ive built up a good lie. Ice cant know! Xenta nodded only half listening to him. What am I going to do later? I cant stay there the whole time. Theyd want me to keep it and what if it gets Vegetas qualities? Xenta shuddered at the thought.
Are you alright, Piccolo asked with real concern.
Im fine just caught a chill, Xenta stated. Piccolo eyed her.
A chill? In this heat?
Im going, he told her, Ive got things to do before I leave.
Whatever, Xenta shrugged, :Im out of here. she exited her room, oh yeah locked the door would you? So Chibi stays out. Apparently he and Marron think its ok to mess around in there. she winked before she disappeared leaving him wide eyed, mouth open in her doorway.
I did not need to know that!
Xenta appeared in her room at the palace. She had used instant transition to avoid questions from everyone. She dropped a bag shed picked up near her dresser then exited the room.
Ice! Hey Ice are you home, she called through the house. She walked down a long unfamiliar hallway that seemed to descend into an underground area. She kept watching the ground as she walked, not really knowing why but she was pulled to something unknown. Finally the ground seemed to level out and the walls changed .it was like she was transported to a new place.
Ice are you down here, she asked still waling on. Suddenly ice appeared In front of her.
Eja what re you doing here, Ice asked blocking her from going on.
Well Im here to stay for awhile, Xenta smiled, but I couldnt find you so I went down here looking for you. So where are we?
This is the Jadeon Palace! You remember the story I told you, Ice smiled.
Yeah I do, Xenta looked around, well lets go back and talk. Ice nodded in agreement and led the way back.
So have you decided on a color for your room, Ice asked, I know dad doesnt care if you paint it and this way we can spend some more time together.
I like it the way it is really, Xenta said, all I need is a bulletin board for pictures that Im sure you will want to take.
Ok do you want to go shopping later, Ice asked, Im sure father will let me as long as youre with me! Youre like the big sister that I never had.
I dont know if Id go that far. Maybe like a friend of the family but not big sister. Im not really good with family, Xenta mused, oh and I saw Piccolo. He said hes be by later.
Uncle Piccolo, Ice questioned, Wheres you see him?
The Laundry matt, Xenta joked, no Im kidding I was getting a drink at a bar and he was outside.
Ok, Ice smiled, so how long are you staying with us?
About a month, Xenta told her, the Ive got to see a friend of mine. She asked for me to see her.
Well at least youre staying for awhile, Ice stopped in front of Xentas door.
Yeah. Well Im going to take a nap. Ive been up and about all day, Xenta said, when I wake up well go out.
Im going to be in my lab until then, Ice walked away. Xenta shut her door and plopped down on the bed closing her eyes.

Man what I wouldnt give for some melted cheese and those fresh buttered movie pretzels, she sighed.
Why would you want that, Xenta jumped up to see Piccolo sitting in her chair.
What are you doing here, Xenta asked defensively.
Just making sure youre alright, he said, you seemed sick earlier.
Im fine, Xenta laid back down. Piccolo just stared at her.
What, she exploded, I said I was fine!
I didnt say anything, he told her, but now that you mention it youve been out of it for days.
Dont like to me, he said, I know the truth so its not use. Xenta searched his face for clues but all she got under his suddenly desirable eyes and lips was seriousness.
How do you know, she asked. He reached in his pocket and threw a cell phone at her.
You left this in the gravity room, he said, it rang and I answered to see whose it belonged to because no one would claim it. Some Puarta chick started babbling on about your appointment time.
You didnt say anything did you, she asked with false hope.
I told her I wasnt you.
No.
Then she went on about congratulations and meeting me, he looked at her, so I know youre pregnant.
Was, she corrected him, I lost the baby. I came here to get my mind off of it. So dont tell anyone. Or ill tell Ice the truth!
Fine its a deal, Piccolo said.
There goes not getting involved. He stood and exited her room leaving her to rest. Ive got to get away somewhere that I cant lie. That was her last though before she fell asleep.
Piccolo sat meditation on his bed to clear his mind of the days events. He slowly started to hover over his bed still concentration on the silence. The door to his room opened silently and Ice poked her head in to see what he was doing.
I wish youd just talk to me Uncle Piccolo. I want to know whats wrong. She shut the door and headed off to get Eja.
Jescele sat on the edge of the fountain in Freedom Park waiting for Godog
. What am I going to do? I know this cant work out so why am I here? She sat thinking about this while she waited for him. Im going to get hurt again and I dont need that. So why do I stick around? She looked up to see Godog standing in front of her looking very sexy. Oh yeah thats why! She walked over to him and kissed his cheek.
Hey babe, he smile, I missed you.
I missed you too, she replied, sorry I hung up on you so quickly but Xenta has killed the punching bag.
Is she alright, he asked, Did you work out whatever was bothering her? It wouldnt be good to have her going around still mad. People would die.
Shes better, it took some time though, she explained, now lets eat. Im starving. He grabbed her hand and led her back to his car, a blue viper.
Ok, he opened the door for her, where would you like to go?
back to my place I hope.
Why dont we grab some Chinese and eat at your place, she suggested with a smile.
Thats an excellent idea, he smiled back.
YES! He hoped into the car and they sped off.
Xenta stood in the aisle at Target mentally judging the boards she was looking at. Ice was next to her watching the people wonder by. First she saw a young couple and their daughter walk by. They were discussing what type of chips to buy. Next she saw an older woman slowly pushing her cart down the main aisle. She saw brothers and sisters, the old and young, and then she saw a particle young man that caught her eye. He was down the chip aisle pondering over Ruffles and cheetos. She watched him with such intent that she missed Xenta walk away. He had a nice tan and appeared to be near six feet tall. His black hair was shot in all direction but it wasnt a mess.
I wish I could see his eyes! She begged silently for him to look up so she could see his eyes.
Xenta looked up from the counter to see Goten across the way.
Anies! If he sees me Im dead. She moved to get Ice but stopped when she saw her staring at him. Youre Father would kill you Ice I know he would. Hes Ice-jin and they hate the monkeys. Xenta slipped down another aisle to get away.
Goten looked up to see a pair of red eyes watching him. he dropped both bags in his cart and pushed it toward her. Ice froze at his boldness.
Hi Im Goten, he smiled, I couldnt help but notice youre lovely red eyes watching me.
Im Ice, she managed.
Dont be scared, Im not going to hut you, he joked. She looked him up and down noticing hoe black his eyes were and with a sudden boldness she laughed.
Yeah well youd have to deal with my family if you did, she smiled. They laughed together.
So what brings you to Target this fine evening, he asked.
Im here with a friend, she looked around for Eja, she must have walked off somewhere. Shell call me if she needs me.
Im glad you came, he said, its not everyday I meet a beauty queen.
Im no Beauty queen, she blushed.
You are to me, he whispered. She blushed even more turning her eyes form him.
So how old are you, she asked, and why does your girlfriend let you out along.
Im eighteen and I dont have a girlfriend, he stated, at least not any more. I broke up with her because she lied about her age.
So how- he was cut off by the sound of Ices phone. She unclipped it from her phone.
Oh its Eja, she said relived, glad her father wasnt on the phone.
Hello, she said into the phone. After a short pause she continued, ok be there soon bye. She turned back to Goten, Ive got to go.
Can I have your number, he asked. She though for a moment then took out a pen.
Do you have any paper, she asked.
No, he sighed, here just write it on my arm. She laughed and quickly jotted down her number.
Its my cell phone, she turned to leave, call me anytime but if my dad answers just hang up. she took off in the direction if the garden department.
Xenta came around the corner where Goten still stood watching Ices tail move as she ran.
Dont stare too hard or you might kill her, Xenta laughed
What are you doing here, he asked
Listen to me and listen good, she started, if you hurt her Ill kill you, and Im not the only one. Her father doesnt like your kind and will have your head just for looking at her like that. Now you dont know me. My name is Eja not Xenta and Im not Jesceles best friend, in fact Jescele doesnt exist.
But I just-
No Goten, Ice cant know, Xenta cut him off, promise me you wont tell her.
Alright fine, he consented.
Good now go to the food court and wait there. Ill bring her by for a drink in like five minutes, Xenta said heading off to find Ice.
Jescele and Godog lay under the covers in his bed. She was asleep and he was watching her contently.
If only we could stay like this, and not have to go back to our lives and living with this secret. She stirred a little but enough to roll over. She was having a dream, which was quickly becoming a nightmare.

~Dream~

Jescele was walking n complete darkness yet her body seemed to be illuminated by a strange silver glow. She walked in this emptiness heading for something unknown but she could feel it getting stronger. The need for it grew inside her. She began walking faster, searching for what was missing. Then she began seeing things, people whom looked like her. She saw the whole Jadeon race all her people who were now dead. She saw a baby, a tiny little girl the last born of the Jadeons.
And shes not even full Jadeon. The baby was picked up by someone clocked in shadow. Pain plucked at her heart in seeing this unfold, but then she heard him speak.
Shh, Isis, he cooed to the child, we have to be quiet or hell find us. This child not more than a few months old, looked up at her father unaware of how much danger they were really in. suddenly someone was upon them. She was horrible to watch, she was Agent Silver. Jescele knew it was her though shed never actually seen her.  He clutched the child to his chest waiting for her to strike.
Whats the matter Ice-jin, she hissed, dont want to lose the child of Silver? he looked up pleading with his eyes.
I dont want to hurt you Silver, he tried, I still love you.
Your little Silver is gone, she chuckled.
I love you Jescele, he looked at her, look at our daughter!
He called her Jescele! But how could she be me? I dont remember this a daughter? And me agent silver? Agent Silver went to strike but something held her back.
I wont let you do this Jescele, a deep male voice came form behind her.
Ill knock you out first, she growled whipping her around to face him. She looked at him with a pained expression as she fell to the ground unconscious; he erased her memory then took her away. As Jescele watched this she recognized him, it was Titus!
But hes been dead for years. Could this be a memory of a past life? Suddenly all of it faded away to black again. What does all this mean? The time is coming Silver. Who said that? Silver will rise again! The voice seemed so familiar. What are you talking about? All will come to pass just as it was said. Titus is that you? But how? The Silver line is not dead. Then he was gone. She continued to walk in the darkness confused to everything she had seen. Im the last of the sliver line and I have no children. I do not love Godog so we are not having any. A pair of red eyes stared down at her. They look so evil, but I can see pain behind them. Then small black lips appeared. She stopped walking and watched them. Why do they look so familiar? A low laugh rang through her ears and slowly began to incense in volume. It was an evil laugh that sent chills down her spine. Why does all this seem so familiar yet like Im last in a world unknown to me? Jescele I love you. Those words spilled from the lips and echoed in her ears. So why did you kill me?

~End Dream~

Jescele shot out of bed, breathing heavily and covered in sweat, her dream still haunting her.  Those lips saying those words. So why did you kill me rang in her ears. She couldnt shake it. It was like being stabbed in the heart; Godog was asleep hanging partly off the bed. She went to his desk and scribbled him a note.
Couldnt sleep, went to train see you later
      -Jescele

She placed it by is bed then slipped out of the room. The hall was deserted of all signs of life as she crept to the door leaving everyone behind.
Ice lay in bed thinking about the guy she had met; normally shed be out cold by now but her every thought was filled with desires she never dreamed of wanting before.
Hes just so perfect for me. He complements me, like Eja, listens about Father and doesnt seem to be a baca. She had begged Eja to let him eat dinner with them. She knew Eja wouldnt refuse, after seeing how happy she was. Hes not like other guys. He doesnt seem to have only one thing on his mind. Too bad I do. Ice sat up in bed and looked around. The moon shown though the slits of her blinds.
Theres no use in trying to sleep with him on my mind, she sighed crawling out of bed, I might as well train. She changed to her body armor and headed toward the weight room. She walked past her fathers room. The light was out and only soft sounds of sleep spilled from the room.
I think this is his first night sleeping this long. Mom must not haunt him as much anymore. She continued walking past Piccolos room. Again the light was off but she couldnt hear anything. Uncle Piccolo must be mediating again. She shrugged and continued walking by Ejas room. A small blue light shown under the door and she could hear voices.
Shh Piccolo someone might hear you, Eja whispered.
Theyre asleep, its not like Ice is at your door, Piccolo said.
Well lets get this over with, Xenta almost growled. Ice backed away from the door and quickly moved on.
There is something going on between those e two that I need to find out. As the door to the weight room closed behind her she could hear the sound of a faint scream that could only be identified as Eja. Now I really need to find out.
CREO run simulation Red seven please, Ice requested.
Voice password please, CREO asked.
Silver Star, Ice chocked. Suddenly the room was engulfed in a virtual hologram. A younger looking Frieza moved through the room with a baby Ice. The teen Ice sat near the door on the floor and watched the years of her life pass before her eyes. Shortly tears began to trickle down her cheeks as she watched the pain in her fathers eyes as a six-year-old Ice asked
Daddy what happened to mommy so she cant come on my trip? Doesnt she love me?  And the painful cries of herself as she was told of her mothers demise.
I know youre alive. Her cheeks were still damp and tear stained. And agent Silver has you. Ill save you mommy.
I promise.
Jescele locked the door to the training room nine, the virtual room and browsed though the selections.
Computer what was the last program run by Xenta, Jescele asked.
Xenta last ran program Tankin one, the computer said.
Odd, thats a new creation computer replay that last program, Jescele commanded.
Voice password, the computer asked.
Damn her voice passwords, Jescele said aggravated by Xentas attempts to keep personal data in the public room
Im sorry incorrect password, the computer said sweetly.
Never mind run Purple kold instead, the computer beeped and Jescele lost herself in her simulation and put Xentas program to the back of her mind for later.
